Pretty good sushi with limited seating.Their restaurant is small, seating maybe 30 people. So when it gets busy be prepared to wait or get take out.Their sushi is good, but not great. I expect more when I visit Vancouver area. Their Salmon sashimi was on point and chilled nicely. Most of the rolls were quite good and was packed and rolled very well.I have been here before and would come again if I need a quick sushi bite in the Maple Ridge neighborhood.
Omg SERIOUSLY the best seared tuna ever…Best place hands down in maple ridge. May be a small place and yes they get super busy…but that shows you their food is worth the wait!! If you haven’t been, GO!!
Good food, friendly service.. One of us is from Japan and knows sushi well and we have been back several times, always quite happy with the food and the service.
Not good. Terrible service. We waited 40 minutes for our food with only 4 other tables with people. We were told only 6 people at the booth not for 4. However 2 other couples of 2 got a booth? Food was bland and the sushi was very fishy not impressed will never come back

Going downhill fast. I have been a patron of Halu Sushi since I moved to MR in 2001. Always appreciated their fast and friendly service, and loved their fresh sashimi and crispy tempura,However, something has changed. The old friendly faces are no longer there, replaced with what seems like people just miserable at their jobs.Today, we actually walked out of the restaurant after waiting for over twenty minutes to be served our food (it was before the lunch hour rush, and the restaurant was not busy). That was a first in my life. I’m not a picky person, and I’m not an impatient person, but this was the final straw after a series of visits there over the past year or so that I witnessed a progressive decline in service. I don’t know what is going on there, but they need to step up their A game before they lose all their regulars.
Great Sashimi. I ordered Toro sashimi and Hamachi sashimi.
