Food: 2.5/5 Service: 2.5/5Deco: 3/5We went there for Wednesday $1 crab legs. Got there around 5pm. We stood at the entrance for 5 minutes. One of the chefs came out to greet us. The place was not busy at all (4-5 tables of people). It seems everyone is waiting for their food. We ordered drinks right away but we had to wait around 15 mins for our drinks. We ordered the $1 snow crab legs, $7 king crab leg, $1 prawns, 10 Canjun dry rub wings, and $5 calamari. The $7 crab leg was frozen. The snow crab legs were frozen as well. The crab legs were very salty. The wings were very dry (The meat was not fresh at all. It had a weird smell.). The calamari was rubbery and tasteless. The portion was very big tho. The only good thing about the meal was the prawns. They were big, juicy and tender. The entire place smells like dirty mop. Our waitress was nice tho. I think we will come back for the prawns but nothing else.

So I’ve been serving since I was 18 .. I’m 29 now and a career waiter in fine dining. I’m also an accomplished bartender and a talented home cook. I was apprehensive to come here as I’ve herd many things. 1$ CRAB LEGS is a great way to make a second impression and that’s what there doing. I am blown away! I live next to brew st pub ( old golden spike ) and we rather drive three blocks or what ever to come to rocky point tap now. Last two times at brew the beer was flat and they rather play foot ball on hockey night in Canada lol. Here at ROCKY POINT TAP HOUSE beer is fresh and carbonated glasses are cold. So as for those crab legs! It was actually my first time eating crab in such a casual fashion. Usually when I eat crab or lobster it’s lobster and crab I have had are two days wage and are done for you. These crab legs are comparable in freshness and are half cut for u.Butter for 50 extra REAL BUTTER!!!!Wings and ceaser salad were satisfying but I’ll admit legs stole the showOnly quams was lettuce could of been fresher but remember I have fine dining background. Now the service 10/10 . We were spotted right away and greeted by the bartender and server mid service. It’s obvious u just walk in and find ur own table but being aknowleged mid task is what it’s about! We felt welcome . Seconds to sitting we were dropped off clean tidy menus and told the specials. We asked for a beer list.. it was currently under construction so she asked us what we usually drink. I said Canadian and Coors light and she said they have Coors banquette on tap. I actually never tried it as I’ve given up beer ona regular basis for health reasons. But tonight I do what I want.. so Coors banquette it is.. perfectly cold and carbonated and my kind of easy drinking beer. I absolutely hate sending back beer so what a relief. They weren’t busy being after Valentine’s but she was prompt but not over bearing. She was never standing and talking for too long at the bar with servers or bartenders and once the great food came she quality checked in a extreamly timely fashion. Every round of legs she’d come by 4 bites in like clock work. Great table matenience which is huge for me as legs are messy.. keeping up on napkins taking dirty plates and napkins. Making sure we had wet naps. If I owned a restraunt I’d offer her a job.. wish I new her name now.. I believe she was Persian.. great job babe.. All the staff there are clearly working to pay rent and bills school ECT cause it shows.. they CARE!!! there NOT working to meet friends or find Dates like at brew st Sososo happy go for crab legs every wensday..And just go regardless..Excited for summer and there awesome patio

Their house beer is awful had the worst waitress I’ve ever had in my life here she was so incredibly rude when we asked for what was on special (which is nothing ever). Fled down the street to burrardpublic house 3 doors down just for something that didn’t taste like it came out of their garborator. I see why they were closed down before. Should have done us a favour and stayed closed.

Had the jumbo shrimp & scallops. Perfectly cooked and huge. As part of their three course dinner for $25 it was super. The staff was very attentive & portions generous. It was delicious, with a Canadian/Asian flavor. We will be back to try the Salmon.

I went here with my wife on a lunch date. We both ended up ordering off the breakfast menu though because it was available until 330 in addition to the lunch menu. The breakfast was plentiful, tasty, and everything was cooked perfectly. The breajdfast even came with a coffe, tea, or juice included. After we finished our meal, we were treated with some complimentary fruit and chocolate, so that was a mice touch! I should also add that the meal was VERY reasonably priced. We had a great time, and I definitely recommend this place to others.
