Great customer service provided by the staff. Love the way they serve it to the guests.Good food. Happy to be there for the dinner. Nice Decor inside the restaurant. Will go back for sure. A little recommendation to serve the food at higher temperature. It will be more delicious when it will be served hot than warm. Thanks to the Manager there who came for feedback for the food. I loved that place.Good job done guys…
Not worth the effort. Just ordered a chicken taco salad from Amigos. Was expecting more than lettuce with prepackaged chicken, lettuce bits, salsa and sour cream. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Could have slapped a better salad together with my eyes closed.
Soo yummy!. I love this place!! I’ve never been disappointed 🙂 Definitely one of the best places to go for lunch in Prince George. I’m so glad they opened a second location closer to my work place! 😀
Can you please remove the authentic out of your name it’s not authentic Mexican food and it’s a shame of a restaurant for my country. We have a tradition and authentic cuisine and all what you guys are doing it is confusing others of what Mexican food is. I’m Mexican and makes me mad to find a place where they don’t know what they are saling and how to cook it ! I have hope for Prince George to know better of what they are eating.
Best take out in town. Seriously what is better than a corona and a soft taco on the sidewalk in the sun? Hands down the best take out in town.
Mediocre at best. I ordered the WD West combination plate which came to roughly $15. To my dismay there was barely any food for the price, mexifries were about 8 tater tots in cheese, the burrito was the size of a small sandwich wrap.
Prince Gastronome. I originally had a craving for Sushi but I figured I would give Mexican another chance. Third time’s the charm I guess. After several false starts, I’ve finally arrived at Amigo’s Taco Shop. I’ll admit this will be one of the easiest reviews to make, and it’s a Saturday, so perhaps that’s to be expected. Amigo’s is so simple; it’s practically written in Basic (yeah, that just happened). Solid wood chairs were apparently lifted from an elementary school, in solid red to prove it. Various props looked probably borrowed from a thrift store including miniature cacti and sombreros. Staffed (currently) by four very attractive women with smiles and pleasant attitudes. It works. There is cheap and there is simple and then there is authentic. Amigo’s feels like that corner caf in a small village that serves the greatest food in the country, and you’d have missed it if you blinked while driving from one large city to another.I am recommended the Burrito Supreme, which I add to a $12 combo plate. The two sides, mexi-rice and mexi-fries, are scooped onto a plate from warming buckets. Warming buckets. The burrito, about as thick as my neck, is made to order, shoehorned with beef, beans, salsa, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. It’s delivered in less than three minutes, another reason why this place is so successful at lunchtime.Compared to fast food varieties, Amigo’s feels and tastes like it was made, not manufactured. Given current events with larger chains, I’m confident the beef in Amigo’s is real and not comprised of inedible appendages, good intentions, and salt. That being said, I think the two sides could use a dash of spices. The burrito does make up for the slightly bland flavor of the sides. For the price, you get a heaping amount of food which is delivered with the speed of…hmm…would it be politically inappropriate to make a Looney Tunes reference using a racially inappropriate character?I get a can of pop, not a tall glass of ice and syrup-flavored water. Amigo’s shouldn’t be here. It should be in a mall in a larger city where this quality of product is not nestled and hidden away outside of the city center, 500 feet from railroad tracks. And yet, it is also perfectly located, slightly away from competition but flanked on every side by businesses desperately looking for a good meal for lunch. If I wasn’t living half way across the city, I could see it being a regular joint. Alas, there is a Taco Del Mar a block away. Been there once…haven’t been back.If you can find a parking spot and come at a time where it’s not insanely busy, Amigo’s is a definite recommendation. It doesn’t try to be much and the result is something far greater than it thought. Places like the African Caf and Kalo Donair should take a hint from Amigo’s.
