Delicious Prawns. They are fresh, large and juicy and the best I have ever had
Excellent. My daughter and I go to Friendly Mikes quite often and have been for overnine years. The place feels very comfortable. The food is good. In the summer of2014 I am moving back to Kelowna. It will be tough to find a Pub equal to Mikes. I will miss it.
Good food. The food is alright for pub grub. The service is good. Karaoke is fun.
Good food.
March Saturday lunch 2013. I had never had been to friendly Mike’s pub before. Ordered a pint of Bud. Worst pint of Bud ever. Warm, flat, watered down. Not a good start. I noticed all the regulars were ordering tall cans of beer. I wonder why??? Then ordered the Mikes cheese steak sandwich and fries. Food was good. Very cheesy hot and fresh fries. Good auj. I then ordered a tall can of beer. So much better! Over all. Was just ok. I won’t be rushing back.
Great Wine Store….. … but the pub has GOT to have the most expensive pub fare in all of Chilliwack for what you get.
Ignore costomer concerns. The following is a letter I sent to Friendly Mikes Pub on October 11, 2012. I have not recieved any response in over a month. Great way to deal with costomer concerns. To: Friendly Mikes Holdings Ltd. October 11, 2012 Box 130 Chilliwack, BC. V2P 6H3 Attention: Michael Yakimovich. Hello Michael, I obtained your contact information through Mayor Sharon Gaetz’s office. I was involved in an incident at Friendly Mikes Pub, that I would like to make you aware of. I found this to be embarrassing for both myself and my community I have my elderly Mother-in-law presently visiting us from London. On Friday September 21st 2012 she expressed her wishes to take us out for a pub dinner which is somewhat a tradition in the UK. My Motherin-law can only walk 20-30 steps with a walker otherwise she needs the use of a wheelchair. Another couple, friends of ours joined us and we left agreeing upon going to Friendly Mikes Pub. We arrived, parked in a disabled parking spot and entered through electrically operated disabled doors. The evening was going very well the food was good, the service was good and the people of Chilliwack who were also patronizing the Pub were very friendly. Upon completing the meal my Mother-in-law asked my wife if she could please use the washroom. My Wife left with my Mother-in-law in the wheelchair to do so. As I was concerned something may have happened due to their lengthy absence I began to look for them. I saw my Wife pushing my Mother-in-law outside of the pub. I went to see what was happening and by that time my Wife was speaking to who I believe is the manager. When I joined in the conversation my wife informed me that the pub does NOT have a disabled washroom and she had gone next door to the newly built liquor store as she believed there may be a washroom in there, which there wasnt. I asked the owner how an establishment could possibly have disabled parking spots, disabled entrances and no disabled toilet. He was quite emphatic in explaining that the pub is not new construction therefore does not require a disabled washroom. We left immediately with my Mother-in-law feeling very embarrassed as she believed she had caused a scene and my Wife and I feeling very embarrassed as to how our community neglects the disabled. You also have to realize that although I had only consumed one pint of beer, I was forced into a position where I had to drive quickly in order to find facilities for my Mother-in-law. This would have been very embarrassing had I have been stopped by the police as I dont believe my Mother-in-law could have held on during a stop. I would like to make you aware of how ludicrous it is to have disabled parking, disabled entrances and no disabled washrooms. There should at least be a sign posted by the parking stalls pointing out that washroom facilities are not available for the disabled. I realize that the answer to this is to patronize another Pub with proper facilities, however it normally does not occur to people to inspect the washrooms until they are needed. I look forward to hearing how you feel this will be dealt with, before taking it to another level. Thank you for taking the time to look into this, it is very much appreciated. Sincerely,
