Sushiwa has been my favorite Sushi place, possibly only second to Coco Cafe Sushi. I’ve been to Sushiwa at least 20 or more times, and I’ve always enjoyed the good and service. They are quick and the food is of good quality. Some people say the service is rude or slow, but in 2 years of having lunches and dinners, I’ve never had anything but a good meal and polite servers. Overall, the all you can eat is very good, and I recommend it to all my friends.
If you want to wait 20 minutes for water, go ahead and go to this place. They literally have 1 person in the kitchen, 1 person making sushi and 1 person as cashier and serving on Friday and Saturday nights where there are 40 to 50 customers in the restaurant. We waited 1.5hrs to get our first round of orders which weren’t very much…
Ordered chicken Don and spicy cali rolls. The rolls were good but the chicken Don was literally just rice and chicken, no vegetables. This isn’t typically my go to sushi place.
My wife and 2 daughters and I went here the other day and it will be our last time going. All you can eat… yes but. … The sushi… was ok. The tempura was…goodServer …friendly Restaurant. .. was decent Rules…. many lol The waitress warned us 3 times that if we didn’t eat the sushi we would be charged extra for leftovers . This is before we even ordered. We felt guilty even though we ordered the perfect amount for our family. The cook held back our favorite sushi and said we had to finish what we ordered first. We didn’t order that much. The same as every other place we go. Strange. I felt like a 5 year old eating at a cheap uncles house lol. They charged an extra $ 5 for my 4 year old that eats next to nothing.. I don’t really care about that much but it was just a very negative experience in total. I’m sure the all you can eat sushi is not a very lucrative business that is why the uncomfortable, awkward moments and treating us like bad children. For my wife and daughter and I excluding my 4 MONTH old. The bill came to $40 + tip.
I’ve been here a couple times, sometimes for the all-you-can-eat, other times just for some sushi or a plate of yakisoba. I have enjoyed each time I’ve eaten there, both in the quality of the food and service. The waitresses are nice and quick to take your order. Some people say its a hit or miss, some say they don’t like the rules for all you can eat. I like it, and count it as one of my favourite sushi places in Chilliwack. The food is good, you get your money’s worth in the all-you-can-eat. The lunch boxes are also quite good and the teskey roll is something worth trying if your feeling adventurous with your sushi. It’s not the best sushi in the world, but a lot of people forget that if it was the best sushi ever, it would cost an arm and a leg. I always leave with a satisfied tummy, plus sushi is my comfort food so I love having one up here on the hill. It’s a nice atmosphere as well, great for hanging out with buddies or meeting friends.I enjoy it, and have recommended it to many friends. Would eat there again, and probably will before the end of the week!
