Best Coffee House. I am a regular customer of Waves Coffee House in Garrison Village in Chilliwack and I have to admit that every time I go into that store, I like it more than the previous time. Cozy place, great drinks, great food and best of all friendly staff
This place is disgusting. I used to frequent to Waves Coffee in Garrison Village quite a bit back when it first opened, but stop visiting after the ownership changed. Almost immediately the hours were cut back, good food was removed off the menu and the food that they kept on the menu looked and tasted like it has been there for days.There are two employees that look like they may be the owners because they seem like family, I am not racist but they are brown. I have a lot of brown friends but the people that work at this Waves Coffee have just turned this store into crap. I dont see any of the employees that were there from the beginning that actually knew what they were doing and made their drinks properly not flavorless cold and watered down like they are now. The people in this store do not know how to manage people at all! Bad coffee, bad customer service, what else is left? The word is out that this place is never a good place to go to! It is utter crap. The new owner has smashed this place into the ground!1. The food is bland (but it always has been…only decent thing is maybe the wraps if youre hungry). But half the time they give you the wrong one! Poor, poor quality for grossly over-priced food. $7.00 for a wrap? Really? Very bad value. 2. The new staff isnt as well-trained as the old staff and rarely brings your food to your table anymore. The old staff made a point of knowing me by name and knowing exactly what I liked and how I liked it. The new staff isnt nearly as interested in that. The staff that works here now have no clue what they are doing the girls used to do latte art all the time! It was amazing these girls dont do latte art dont even know how to make foam. The drinks are all half full, totally flavorless or burnt and most of the time cold after mixing it with whatever. 3. The guy that works on the weekend….ewwwww!!! He works in his track suit with his phone in his hand the whole time and talks to me extremely rudely and hits on me the whole time! Its disgusting! He doesnt even know what hes doing and hits on anything that comes through the door with boobs.4. You know that minimum amount youre trying to make people pay for internet (that they could just hijack for free outside anyways)? Why the heck would people pay you good money for coffee that was prepared by staff that burns it and food that is bland? All JUST to use internet that they can log onto for free? You want to stop people from coming in just to use the internet? Put a code on it, hand out the code with peoples coffee, and deal with it if they stay longer than 2 hours. When your internet is as slow as it is, its going to take about 2 hours just to get the basic stuff done anyways, so… Unless you have a timer on your internet, you cannot control how long someone stays on it. Deal with it…This new owner needs to sell this place to someone who actually knows what theyre doing and then take a long hike. I used to come to this place every night, but now Ill probably save this place for when Im desperate if not just because I cant stand the creeper and people who dont know what theyre doing.
Below Average Service and Food. I’ve gone to many coffee shops over the past couple years anywhere from Delta to Vancouver to Chilliwack and this was one of the worser experiences for me.I’ve come here on several occassions and all times the speed of service was very slow. My girlfriend ordered a hot chocolate which she mentioned to me tasted good, but we waited ten minutes with only 2 people in front of us. The barista didn’t fill the cup full and a quarter of it was foam. We also ordered a chocolate caramel bar which was very expensive ($3.85 + hst) and was too dry for our liking.The staffs friendliness was very average. I will go to other coffee shops in the area as I know now that this Waves is overpriced, has dried up pastry, and I can definitley get better service at most other coffee shops.

Sometimes it isn’t too bad, and other times quite frankly it sucks. for the price, the inconsistent factor is too big of a chance. I’ll stick to starbucks – they aren’t much better but at least i get what i pay for.
I’m Picky About My Coffee. These guys ace the coffee brew. The free Wi-Fi is a bonus.
Awesome!. Finally, a place with free wi-fi. Why don’t more places do this?I had a cafe au lait with soy milk. When I asked about the soy, the cashier informed me that they also have almond milk. Good to know! Most places don’t even have soy so that’s awesome.Didn’t try any dessert but the people next to me loved the cheesecake. It looked good.Very friendly staff. I sat around for almost 2 hours killing time and I got lots of smiles – no glares. Definitely will return.
