We arrived here on a busy night but we’re still seated quickly. The service was impeccable and the food also arrived quickly. I was impressed with the size of the servings. Everything was delicious! I recommend the Schnitzel Charlotte while my hubby had the combo platter (perfect for when you can’t decide because it all looks good). We also enjoyed the German atmosphere and murals on the wall. We popped in to The Old Bavaria Haus back in October because… well, what better time than Oktoberfest for schnitzel?I flipped back and forth between the type of schnitzel I was going to order before finally settling on the Schnitzel Rockefeller where they top your crispy breaded schnitzel with oysters rockefeller. Had an awesome experience at this place. First of all, it’s a very nice building, the outside facade and the interiors really set this place apart. Super cool place to enjoy a meal. We had the German pasta with black forest mushrooms to start and it was absolutely amazing. Probably my favorite part of the meal. For a main, I had the Bavarian Dinner, which included some sausage, sourcraut, veggies and some grilled onions, all topped with an amazing sauce. I was fully satisfied at the end of the meal. Service was really attentive. Will come again.
Not as good as when I went last time with my family. I was very excited to go back again to this restaurant, but was very disappointed with the food this time. The garlic toast was given to my date and myself as soon as we sat down – very cold and not heated at all. I ordered the schnitzel with mushrooms and bernaise sauce – I received oodles and oodles of mushrooms and hardly any sauce. I talked to the waiter and he actually argued with me a bit about this so I was completely surprised. Also the potatoes were cold. He did offer to bring me some more sauce but only a little bit. As I walked out, I saw other patrons with the same dish I ordered and they had less mushrooms and more sauce. I will not be returning to this restaurant again. Also I saw him tell a woman server what I had said.
Birthday visit. A visit for the first time. Since it is the Sunday after Christmas it was busy the service however was attentive and friendly. We both started with the Caesar salad, it was light and fresh. I had the combination platter for my main meal. A platter of meat and spatzel, I am in heaven. This combination consisted of rouladen which was so tender and full of flavour. Next was the bratwarst… Also good, with a light flavor. I then had my schnitzel with peppercorn sauce. I was not a fan of the sauce, but the schnitzel had a good crunch. Rainbowcrab had the corden blue schnitzel, she loved the ham and cheese inside. It was very big.We look forward to going back.
Great group party!. Just attended a family birthday party with about 50-60 people on the second floor.Can’t remember the waiters name but he was amazing, had everyone organized, meals came out in an orderly way and even had all the bills sorted out at the end in spite of the chaos of the room. The food was great too!Had a chance to peek in the main floor, it looks very inviting for a cozy delicious meal!We will be back!
This place is awesome! Ive been here roughly 20 times and i have ordered the Rouladen every single time because it is excellent. Cabbage and Spatlze is tasty. Service has alwys been great as well.
