Seriously?. I wrote a review about 20 minutes ago explaining how they couldn’t get bread right. When I complained further the waitress laughed at me. Awesome customer service. What a dump. I’ll never go there again, and I only live 2 blocks away.29 Mar, 2014I had a simple order….the prawn appetizer…it came with baguette toast…which would have been good if they didn’t drizzle balsamic vinegar on it. Who wants soggy bread? Anyways the first time I asked for it to be redone without the vinegar they gave me a plate of plain bread. I gave it back and asked for the same toast but without the vinegar. Then I got toast without butter. So I sent that back and asked, again, for the same toast….grilled with butter. Then they drizzled some melted butter on it. I finally gave up and just gave it back and told them to not bother. And they didn’t. Seriously…
Restaurants take note, drink and appy prices should look like cottage bistro’s. 4.35 sleemans, cant go wrong, and 6 bucks for a plate of wings and 5 bucks for crispy wontons, oh ya now were talking. With the stand up and live band afterwards going on, i enjoyed this spot very much.
We need more live music on Main!. This is not may favorite place, but it offers live music most nights of the week, and the more that people check this out, the better the acts get and the more fun you will have! Awesome staff and ownership. Love you Eugene!Food is pretty terrible though. It fills the hole, but yeah… its all about the music.
WOW!!!!. I have eaten dinner at the Cottage Bistro many times over the years as I enjoy the many live music acts that play there. The food has always been honest, good fare. However, recently, I had a meal that was truly spectacular.I had the Fettuccine with prawns and chicken breast, capers, diced tomato, black olive and finished with Sambuca. It was delectable. My husband had the Heritage Angus Natural Rib Eye which was broiled perfectly to his taste, finished with peppercorn sauce and served with organic salad. It was an excellent meal for an excellent price. The service was excellent and the music wonderful. The new menu and kitchen are a great addition to a great spot for music. Thanks Cottage Bistro.
Good food, good service, good prices. I have been there many times and always enjoyed the food and the wonderful service. I took the love of my life there on Friday night. We sat outside, and were still able to enjoy the live music playing indoors. We had the short-ribs. They were succulent and the meat fell off the bones. With two entrees, a bottle of wine, a few shots of Drambuie and dessert cost us $80.00 with tip and tax for two. We were so impressed that we went back again on Sunday afternoon. Cottage Bistro has a laid back and relaxing atmosphere.
We go every month for The Flame storytelling event. Probably wouldn’t seek the place out if it wasn’t for that, but we enjoy the event and the food and drink when we go. The staff are great sports dealing with the packed house!
