This place is one of the best tea houses in Vancouver and perhaps my favorite! They have a very cool setting, and the tea bar is amazing. You can just sit there at the bar and they brew your tea in the traditional Chinese way in front of you. They are very professional and masters in making Chinese tea. The people are very friendly and engaging. They also know so much about tea and the Chinese culture that you will run out of questions. They even showed us pictures of the tea farms that they have collected their teas from! Absolutely fascinating! After going there twice we started to have long conversations and got to know each other. Very well ! Amazing people! Highly recommend everyone to go and have a tea there!

First time in for a delightful green tea, made with young tips and explained in full by the young man working. It was fresh tasting, grassy, light and made my day. Will return!

A haiku that emerges when I think of Cultivate:Steam vapour fleetingWarmed cup resting on moist woodTea leaves unfoldingIf you appreciate pure high quality tea, without any artificial flavouring agents and additives, if you are curious and want want to learn more about the many varieties of tea, if you want to get away from the business of the everyday and relax in a quiet, minimalist space surrounded by plants and beautiful tea wares, this is your paradise!Cultivate owners Jude and Lynn are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, it is always a pleasure to come here. I recomend trying their tea tasting, one tasting gives you an opportunity to try 3 teas curated for you based on your taste preferences. I have tried these a couple of times with my parents, not only is the tea brewing and tasting process enchanting in itself , but I also discovered my new favourites as a result. Jude has also been great at suggesting other teas that I may like based on my feedback about what I enjoyed previously. I also absolutely love their tea wares and accessories and have purchased some for gifts and personal use.A lovely addition are also the treats from Basho and cold-brewed teas for the summer!Good tea is quite expensive, so I really appreciate the care and expertise of the owners in sourcing their teas and sharing their knowledge with the customers. Even though I have regular access to good oolong teas from Taiwan through my husband’s family and regular trips to Taiwan, I find great value in being able to ask questions and come back for thougtful recommendations.

Real tea. A good selection of only high-quality teas, run by tea experts. Great vibe to the place and nice tea hardware for sale as well. Good prices too.

Favourite Tea Shop!. Hands down the best tea I have ever had! The owners are incredibly nice and passionate about sourcing high quality tea. I never thought plain tea leaves could taste so different from one another! If you drop by, make sure to chat with the owners: they have a plethora of knowledge about proper tea brewing (from charcoal filtered water to proper steeping times to their custom wooden tea table). Also … sweets from Basho is definitely a plus.

Very cute new tea bar!. Delicious teas! Love that they serve Basho treats here too. The owners are very friendly and lovely and the teas are probably the best I’ve ever had. They use charcoal filtered water which seems to make all the difference in the clarity of the taste. I don’t know much about tea but I do know that these ones taste damn good! They also have a very eclectic selection of tea accessories and ceramics
