We went there last Thursday night for dinner. Cocktail was alright and it was $2 off for Thursday. Food is delicious but portion could be a bit more generous. Service was great. Nice atmosphere.
My girlfriend and I was passing by the Riley Park area on main street. We couldn’t help but notice this busy place for brunch and decided to give it a try.The renos inside are gorgeous. Our service is definitely what we expected as well. The recommendations for in-house kombucha and fresh pressed juice sold us. However even though they were delicious, we kind of wish the glass was a touch bigger for the price… Minus points for that.I ordered their feature omlette and man that was delicious. It had back bacon and big juicy pieces of mushrooms. I’m not a omlette guy but boy did that surprise me. Their hash sticks and in house ketchup, I could eat for hours. My girlfriend got the duck confit benny. We were do happy that it came on a bed of potato, instead of bread. We are trying to eat less gluten when we can. The wilted seasoned kale is delicious. But the duck we thought was more then a touch salty to our taste… It turned off my girlfriend. Minus points again. In the end I would say it’s a decent place for brunch. We won’t order the salty duck benny ever. But we would like to try dinner here, when we get the chance.
Great food, so-so service. Got the beef dish which came with awesome potatoes and a good sauce, though the meat was slightly tough. With regards to the service, I don’t like being pushed into ordering extra when I don’t feel like it (already ordered an entre). Plus I was with a lot of friends that night I went so we were already paying the extra charge for large groups, and a few people were ordering appetizers. Apparently that wasn’t enough for them? PS. As other reviews have stated, it’s fairly loud. Would not recommend for a date.
This restaurant is a great place for brunch. I’ve tried only Nomad Breakfast but It was so good. They give you a lot (I cannot finish). The harshbrown is different here. It is really crispy. You can switch harshbrown into kale and onions if you want some greens. I like the late night snacks too with drinks. My favourite was the hummus but they changed the menu. My favourite dish now is the frenchfries. It is delish! A nice place to gather around and catchup with your friends.
