Taste is great but the price is a little high. The service is great but some table were quite dirty which doesnt make a good first impression. Other than that the environment is lovely.
Don’t really get the hype… The coffee bun is kind of like a weird form of a croissant. Super buttery, very underwhelming. Might come back one day but not unless there’s nowhere else to go. Their teas on the other hand are strange and quite good. I am more likely to come back for the special beverages over the coffee bun.
I will definitely go again. The bun with maple and ice cream was delicious and not overly sweet, and finally a decent latte. Everyone I was with enjoyed there food.
Tasting Plates event. I would highly recommend their signature tea (taste like a milk tea, with ginger flavour). They definitely have something different to offer 🙂
coffee bun, not sure what’s the hype but southeast asia have these kind of buns for a long time already, so wasn’t sure what’s the hype among my friends for these, definitely sweet buttery smelling bread makes it very very attractive taste wise, it’s slightly crisp on the outside and the inside is sweet’ish as well. not a big fan of delicacies/sweets/bread but definitely okay for me. mangkr.wordpress.com
Order large London fog $4.7 but no tea bag inside and taste so so. And size is like grand Starbucks size. Plus a bum is warm crispy and 1St few bite was good but taste salty in the end and it look big bun but the middle of the bread is hollow.., why they made it big but empty , the price is unclear on the display. Totally a drink + a bun cost me $9.14…wow. What expensive a bun . A lady serve without smile and thank you. Not really need to go again
I visited Pappa Roti on Robson Street and the one in Yaletown and tried their Karak milk tea. Both were good. This one in Coquitlam has a great interior design. The seating area is spacious with counter top tables and high chairs as well as some regular tables and chairs. The cafe is clean and tidy. There is pay parking on the street and there is a parking lot for the complex behind the building. The customer service was good. A barista would introduce what the cafe was selling in store and she was very friendly. I came to try their Karak milk tea. It was not sweet enough that I had to add come honey to it. I don’t like to drink sweet beverages a lot but the sweet flavour in this Karak milk tea was not there yet. The ones I tried in downtown and Yaletown were about right that I didn’t have to add extra honey or sugar to the tea. The cup of Karak milk tea was very hot that the cafe didn’t have any sleeves. I had to ask a barista to give me some napkins or an extra paper cup to prevent holding onto a hot beverage.
