We didn’t know what to eat and we decided to try out Sushi Boss which locates in our area. The restaurant is located in a resident neighborhood where there is no other restaurants nearby. You go in and order your food at the counter and seat yourself and wait for them to bring out your food. The menu doesn’t have a large selection of sushi, and they all look pretty simple like the regular maki’s and sushi rolls. We decided to try out the baked chopped scallop roll (which was the only thing that looked interesting). When the plate came to the table, it didn’t look very appetizing as it was just a California roll with some chopped scallops and mixed veggies causally put on top. Flavor wise, it was not bad, but nothing special. I didn’t like the mixed veggies (diced onions and bell peppers) on top, cuz they just didn’t feel necessary. We also ordered one more roll and the fish didn’t taste too fresh. Overall it wasn’t really good, and we probably won’t come back. instagram.com

Killer Japanese food. Fast service. Friendly staff. Sushi is fresh, their chicken teriyaki has its own touch with strawberry and deep fried tofu with a sweet sauce. Good sushi for Westwood plateau.

Sushi boss is a hidden gem in the tri-cities area. A friendly family owned sushi restaurant that uses fresh ingredients and has a unique menu! We decided to try the firecracker roll which has avocado, crab, prawn tempura, and is topped with a torched spicy tuna. You can tell they use fresh ingredients, and all the flavors went really well together. They weren’t shy on the crab meat either! We will be back to try their more unique menu items (we saw a roll that used cheddar popcorn and bacon.. Hmmmm!) instagram.com

Green Salad. Amazing & Fresh!10 Mar, 2015Advocate of quality sushi, this place is amazing. Quality and freshness of everything was perfect and service was great. Rare to come across high quality sushi as well as chicken and beef. Hidden Gem, will be returning this week.

Simply amazing … a hidden gem. Astounding service. Super generous portions. Fantastic quality. Most importantly, they take great pride in preparing their meals. Sushi ingredients are topnotch and everything is held to a higher standard. Every edamame is crisp and bright green, the beef cuts top quality, the tempura and gyoza just right. I would be surprised if you can find its equal anywhere in Vancouver. It’s called Sushi BOSS for good reason…

The best sushi. We’ve been to many Sushi restaurants in the Tricities and in Vancouver. This is the absolute best. They also serve the wild salmon.
