Surprisingly poor food abysmal service. Breakfast overcoked scrambled eggs too brown unappetizing presentation. 45 min to serving when addressed concerns was asked to leave and never return. Lightly poached eggs cooked in poacher underside browned. Maybe having a bad day but he needn’t have banned us as there was no chance of us returning. This is the newest owner perhaps he will take advantage of the room for improvement.
Excellent home made food and Quality Service. The food is so awesome at Casual Cravings Caf. One of the best burgers I have ever had in any restaurant. The server and cook always remembers my name when I come in to enjoy a fantastic meal. I totally recommend this place for a bite to eat. Five stars all the way!
Lovely, satisfying meals. I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying a few meals at the Casual Cravings Cafe. The food is always freshly prepared and delicious. The prices are definitely reasonable, even for a student on a shoestring budget. I particularly enjoy the lovely, fluffy omelettes that Kevin prepares. And you are allowed to pick your own fillings for the omelette. Also, Kevin, the owner, is always around for a friendly chat. It is evident that he is passionate about his restaurant and his customers.
@Scassey04. I think you should eat at a place before you write about it. There are a few errors in your review that shows that you did not eat there. First off, the soup is not served with a bun, it is served with toast that is bakery fresh. The soups are all homemade, which is evident by looking at the hand cut vegetables and the homemade noodles of the Chicken Noodle. They do use sliced cheese in the Grilled Cheese sandwiches, that’s the way they are supposed to be made. The price of an old wrapped cold sandwich at any coffee shop is around $6.00, getting a bowl of soup for $2.50 is more than fair.24 May, 2014Fish n Chips. Expected higher quality food for the price. Ordered two grilled cheese and ham with a potato soup and chicken noodle both seemed to be instant type soups and the cheese was processed. For $17 I was expecting more homemade but the breakfast looks like a better option
Low prices, good quality. Great place for perogies or a home cooked breakfast! I Love the soup of the day because it’s thick and comes with crackers and a bun. Bun is pretty ordinary but the soup is made from scratch. Breakfast & burgers all day/all night.Too bad no more lasagna but Kevin makes a fantastic lasagna. Small little place inside the mall. Chairs are plain so don’t expect luxury seating. For the low price & excellent tasting food I will go again. Interesting paintings & nature photos rotating on the many flat screen TVs. Generally pretty quiet so it’s a good place to have coffee & a meal with friends. Most clientelle seem to be retired seniors from around the neighbourhood.
