Love the sushi and snacks here. this is a great little Japanese grocery store, if you’re looking for speciality foods this is the place to g. their to-go food is cheap and tastes great. it can get pretty packed in here though.
The sushi taste ok. It’s a place for convenient and fast sushi to go. However, there are all kinds of Japanese snacks and imported things here. The Japanese matcha goodies are just fabulous.
Fujiya is a staple in Victoria if you’re looking for decent, cheap, and fast sushi. I got some tuna and salmon nigiri, tuna and salmon maki, and inari. Everything was good, although the texture of the rice was slightly dry.
This is one of my staples during the school year. Their sushi is always fresh and abundant, which is good because they sell a lot of it. I love their miso soup too. Its not too salty and the green onions give it nice flavour. There’s also lots of cool and hard-to-find east Asian ingredients in the grocery section, which makes it a really fun experience to check out!
Always fresh sushi. If there out of a specific roll they’ll whip it up for you very quicky. The chicken karaage is sooooo good. Never been disappointed there…
This isn’t exactly the same 4.5/5 I’d give most restaurants.Fujiya is essentially a sushi take-out place and a Japanese grocery store. It fulfills its role as a take-out place perfectly. Cheap and tasty food that is prepared on site.Also, you can get some rarer Japanese groceries that you can’t find anywhere else in the Victoria area.
First time there. Very busy. Pick up pre-made sushi. Watery Shrimp California Roll. Katsu Chicken Roll a bit dry & not flavourful. Disappointed.
