Quick and tasty with big plates of Chinese food, not the best tasting but we are talking about Victoria. Soy sauce chicken is very good. Yet to try other items they offer, so far the barbeque pork and noodles satisfy my cravings.
Never again Ho Tong. We ordered lunch specials, sweet and sour lean pork with rice and fried beef with ginger. The meat in both dishes was inedible. The lean pork was not only tasteless but tasted at least one day old as leftovers or worse. The fried beef seemed to contain no noticeable amount of beef. Instead, it consisted of a tasted mushy greasy fried something that was nauseating. We ate the steamed rice which was entirely acceptable. We left the meat on the plate and told the waitress that it was inedible. She took it away but gave us the full bill for the stuff which we paid, stiffing on the tip, which the cashier commented on to the lady in charge. There were many Asians in the restaurant, which usually would be a good sign. They seemed to like their food. Maybe us gwai-los get the garbagey left-overs. If you are Aisan, you might want to give this restaurant a try. If not, — caveat emptor.
I love this place. Delicious $6.95 soups for lunch. Seriously, what are you expecting in terms of service and decor for $6.95?
I like this place
Worst customer service. If someone calls and has a out of town number they are probably guests of the city or new! That being said if your from out the province you will understand that any cell plan you have is cheap the bc that’s why most people wait to change it! Don’t give me a lecture over the phone on that I should change my cell number!! Maybe your business should get a better phone plan and be more open to not local numbers calling! You being a Asian restaurant should under stand all about being cheap!!
