Went here back in 2011 when it was still Indian Food Market. Went back recently. It’s now Gobind Food Market.Pretty good Indian food at cheap prices. Naan is homemade and tasty. Veggie samosas are just potato samosas, but they’re tasty.One question: Is this a front?Going into the store, half of the shelves are empty and there’s not much food under the heat lamps. Isn’t this supposed to be a supermarket? No other customers, and the two people who fulfilled my order left right when I left. Seem strange.But doesn’t matter – good cheap food.
This place has the best Indian lunch special you can find anywhere in Victoria. For $10 you get a ridiculous amount of food. It changes slightly from day to day but the usual set up is, butter chicken on rice with a side of dahl and vegetable dish of some sort, a few pieces of naan bread and some tandoori fish. It’s a feat of its own finishing it all in one go!! Delicious and amazingly priced! !!!
