I came here to eat with my sister la little while ago and I had the chicken burrito. I got food posioning. I’m not sure why I decided to come back to this place upon hearing my friend also got sick after eating here. Well once again somebody I know got food poisoning. I’m not sure what’s going on with this place but it is ridiculous. Where is the McRae’s I knew 4 years ago? Anybody going to try this place out BEWARE. 0/10 I will never be coming back to this place and neither will my friends.

A change from last time. Was there recently and ordered my usual Cheddar Burger. I had not visited the place for a while. Boy, the burger shrunk! It was about the size of a McDouble from McDonalds. No sides. $9 bucks.Ummm. No thanks. I have visited this place 10 times. 4 of those visits were disappointing.Sorry. No more. This place is inconsistent and terrible.
Not bad, but not great. We went on a Saturday night for supper and it wasn’t too busy, which was nice. The menu looked interesting and decently priced, but when the food arrived I saw why the prices were low – the portions are very small. Now I don’t usually care for ridiculously huge portion sizes but these were too small to fill up most of the people at our table. I had the perogies and chorizo (pretty good but again, not nearly enough food) but I traded it with my husband who ordered the kung pao chicken because he really didn’t like his (it came with rice instead of noodles, and didn’t have much flavour).Anyway, overall not awful but I won’t be going back.
Ok, so this place sucks. There is absolutely no question in my mind that this is one of the worse neighborhood pubs I have ever been to. Really extraordinarily bad food, piss poor service, and some lame frat house scene that is obviously fed by rich kid jocks from Uvic. Always too loud for conversation. The wings we ordered this evening were nothing more than deep fried bones. We complained…the waitress, shrugged and charged us full pop. I loathe that this is one of the only options in a neighborhood with mainly bad options. Boooo!
Mediocre food, loud music. Soup of the day was pretty good, crab cakes just ok with barely any aioli sauce on them, salad ok, Service was fast and friendly, prices reasonable but they need to improve their menu and quality of the food.
