Great place to hang out!. I’ve been here quite often the last few months.I think a LOT has changed in this place! Staff here are awesome, totally friendly, and even remembering your name!Food I’ve had NO issues with, only good times, and I’ve ordered a Variety.They have a ‘build your own burger’ sorta deal… and its quite extensive as to what you can actually create.A few beers on tap, few in bottles… Great in summer for sitting outside, as the patio is a great size.Inside, its free pool (two tables) , free darts, and I heard a rumor they’re getting a foosball table between now and soon!I really enjoy going here. Not any young, drunk kids littering the place.But man, its an awesome place to hang out!Be sure not to miss their hot nuts.
Hey there. Allow me to introduce my self. I am the new chef at Phoenix Bar on quadra. Over the past months the Phoenix has come under fire in regards to service and quality of food. As the new head of the kitchen here allow me to tell you all about some of the changes we have made to the menu here. First off, no more frozen processed food. All food is fresh and homemade. We have added new items to the menu for example deep fried mushrooms, which i must say have turned out to be a very popular addition. We have also added our homemade potato skins. We are in the process of adding more items to the menu as well. There will also be no more long waits for food. We strive to serve your food in a timely fashion and ensure that it is cooked properly and to your liking. I invite those that have been here and had a less then enjoyable experience to come down and meet me and give us another shot. You will not be dissapointed.. Jerry – chef at Phoenix bar and grill

We booked a fundraiser at this pub weeks in advance. Tickets were sold with guests counting on food as part of their entry. The service was shockingly poor. They ran out of food. The management failed to notice that the chef was bleeding from his hand (which he wrapped in a paper towel and continued cooking). Needless to say, we will be moving our fundraiser to another pub next year. What a disappointment…

Steak night. Went there the other day for a celebration on Saturday night. Thank goodness I made reservations because it was JAM PACKEDNow for the food. DELICIOUS.Appetizer- we got the calamari, was excellent Main course-we ordered the special 2 steaks for $18.95 They were the perfect cooked , mushroom sauce yummy The steaks at this place is very delicious.Finally, a really good pub in Victoria worth the price!!! They have also breakfast on Sunday $5.00 ! I guess they hire new chef ?
Mmmmmm….. Perfect wings, melt-in-your-mouth meatloaf and a very accommodating new Chef!I love the fact that there is lots of parking in the front and back…A pleasant surprise! I’ll be going back for the $5.00 breakfast on Sunday!
