Not good value for money. Recently I attended a retirement party for a co-worker. Started at 5…we had all paid $10 each for appys…none appeared until 5:35 although there were about 30 people there shortly after 5. Service was slow and the trays were small with about 12 appys per platter. unless you went over to the waiter, you didn’t get any. I am not a seafood lover and the first two dishes were prawns and scallops in bacon. I had to leave at 6 and at that time I had had one small cube of steak and half a slider…there should have been some cold appys perhaps on the tables as we arrived, or a dish with a variety of appys being served….that way people who either don’t eat meat or seafood would have a choice. Was also amazed at $10.50 charge for a 6oz glass of wine! Felt ripped off. Some people at 6 had not even seen a tray of food at all. Come on Keg – you can do better than this!
Not good at all.. For a place like this I’m surprised that the service was so horrible. I’ve been to dirt cheap places with exponentially better service than here. Got my order wrong and then waited another 20 minutes to get the order wrong again. Let’s just say I will never go here again.
Not so good steak. OK here we go…don’t write many reviews but this meal bugged me big time!Took my son for a great steak in Victoria. He ended up having the prime rib and said it was pretty good.I, however, had the sirloin oscar, a thirty two dollar entre. Absolutely un-edible steak, so tough I could not swallow most pieces! Could have complained, but just not my style. Interestingly enough, a manager type in a suit cleared the table, and made no comment on the uneaten steak Go figure! I will not be back!.
The Keg Saanich. The food was good as the eight of us had a pretty mixed assortment of dishes, and it seemed reasonably priced. However, the service was very slow and our waiter had to be reminded a few times that we’d asked for something and he’d forgotten about it.
Terrible service, and the manager is a completely disrespectful person that ruined our night, our friends birthday was a tragic fail, and the belittling offensive manager treated us all like garbage in his cheap suit. Don’t waste your time or money, better steak at Burger King.
We have eaten here many times over the years and it is always a great night out. . The staff here is outstanding and we never had a bad experience ..Well managed. . Good food. . Good times. .consistent. .we’ll be back
The King of the Steak – Realy?. I have ordered the Tender New York Strip Loin last Friday. The Keg call it the King of Steaks. Not when prepared by chef from Keg, … not even close. The steak was tasteless, the 12 oz. of MEAT included 2 pieces of cartilages and the fries were really salty. The servers were good, fast and professional. I do not recall a dish that would be so badly prepared like my New York Steak from Keg.
