Not good service. Went in looked at the menu & waited 15 minutes for someone to take our order. Tables that came in after us were getting service & we were told to wait that the server would return after helping these people. So we left. The sign in the window said Under New Management.

Quality went down. This was our favourite place to come, but the last two meals have been very disappointing!! They don’t taste as good as they used to and are smaller. Outside patio is disgusting!!

Not good. I,found there was way to much onion in the salsa. I found that there was a lot of dust on the lampshades and the fan over the kitchen was black with dirt. I will not eat here again

Authentic Mexican food!. We usually go here a few times each summer, and find it to be fast, friendly, and quite authentic tasting. Reasonably priced too.

This is a quant little authentic Mexican restaurant – very charming atmosphere. We tried the chicken tamales and the Mexican platter. Both were delicious – fresh ingredients and pipping hot food. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely will go back.

Arrived at 7 pm on Thursday to find it closed. Disappointed as was anticipating great Mexican dinner on 5.5 hour drive!!

Quite good; will return.. For a restuarant with the ubiquitous kitschy, tacky mexican theme Casa Vallarta put up some fairly tasty and distinct food. The chili rellenos was still partially crispy and had a chunky red sauce both of which were unexpected and delicious and the portion size was quite generous. And while the chicken mole enchiladas were in need of more chicken, they too had a unique, clearly in-house made mole sauce that was quite good. I’m not so sure that the cheese paired well with the flavours but it was easily ignored. If I lived in this area I’d clearly have this restarant on rotation though I would like to see the pico made with more finesse and a little more flavour accompanied by warmed tortilla chips. Finally, it’s unusual to pay $15 for a mexican lunch entree in small-town BC so turn up the heat in the dining room a little, eh? Okay, make this the final thing: put a tip function on your card reader, please. Your wait staff will love you for it.
