I really enjoyed my chicken pot pie. Its not a creamy pot pie like I was expecting but, it was great. The filling was moist and flavourful and the crust had a great flavour, not dry and tasteless.
I heard great things about this place. The rating is for the food mainly. We stood in line for awhile due to the volume of people coming into the place. When we finally arrived to place our order we were great by someone who had a bad attitude. We did get our food quickly and it was good but I’m not too sure I want to deal with the attitude again. If a bad attitude doesn’t bother you, then this is a place I would recommend. Maybe she had a bad morning but it wasn’t necessary to make mine bad as well.
I’ve only been to this place once. I was in town, waiting for my husband while he was at an appointment, when my blood sugar started dropping. I checked my phone to see what was nearby, saw this place, and decided to give it a try. The service was friendly and fast. I ordered the Chicken Pesto Baguette to go and ate it in the car, and it was the best sandwich ever! Not only was it delicious, but I thought it was an acceptable size for the price. I have paid as much for a smaller sandwich elsewhere and was not happy about it. Next time I will try the pie and eat in, as it was a very aesthetically pleasing place.
I saw this restaurant on You Gotta Eat Here on Food Network. I was craving some pie on my trip and decided to stop by. The pecan pie was amazing and so was the chicken pot pie. Their sausage apple sage was ok, but not great. foodology.ca
Late in the afternoon on a cloudy Friday and the lineup was out the door, I definitely had high expectations. Ordered their lunch special quinoa salad with chicken and a slice of blueberry peach pie. Food came within 5-10 minutes; the salad had a generous amount of diced chicken with a good variety of vegetables and beans although it was very over dressed. The pie unfortunately didn’t hold up to the hype, I don’t eat alot of pie but the crust tasted no better than my local grocery stores. The filling had a nice hint of cinnamon but once again was nothing to write home about.Maybe go for one of their savory pies if you decide to visit, many were sold out and seemed very popular.
This place was featured on TV as a must eat at Canadian restaurant and deservedly so. It makes fantastic pies; both savoury and sweet. There paninis and soups are also excellent. They are a generous business; donating day olds to local schools for their lunch programs.
Good Coffee and pie. I often stop here on my way through town. The coffee is good and I haven’t had a bad piece of pie yet.
