Best restaurant in town. So many delicious options but the menu was not overwhelming. And the staff was so friendly. Will definitely be back with every visit to the island.
Ate here for late lunch with family. This place must be the worst pasta we’ve ever had!!! The location had good views, the service was a bit slow and the food portion is a lot. First impressions seemed good until we had our first bite and went downhill from there. The most basic Alfredo and tomato sauce on the pasta was so tasteless that we couldn’t even bare eating it. No salt, lacked seasoning, and the pasta itself wasn’t cooked properly. We wasted $90 worth of food . I just ate the seafood on my plate and we all left didn’t bother taking the left overs home. It will just take space in the garbage . Come here if you want to be disappointed or you’re into tasteless pasta.

We ate here for on Friday and returned for Saturday brunch. Food was the perfectly prepared Italian which I always search for (even in Italy)! The server was friendly and professional. European feel, beautiful art – will return.
Delicious!!!. Upon seeing the restaurant from the outside, looks like a book store but regardless we(my boyfriend) tried it anyways. The younger blonde waitress was extremely friendly, and patient with our questions. We had the Saganaki (spelling?) to start and I was blown away by the presentation and taste. My boyfriend and I both had pastas that were SCRUMPTIOUS!! Will definitely be back and definitely recommend it to anyone on Salt Spring!!!07 Oct, 2014Pasta. Hot and Cold. We had a good dinner, not great. We found the prices extremely high. We loved the farm to table concept. Good not terrible.
Dr Jekyll & Auntie Pesto. Looking at some of the other reviews of Auntie Pesto’s, it’s hard to believe they’re all about the same restaurant. Some seem to have a great experience here, while others have a miserable time. Unfortunately for us, we found ourselves stuck at the second version of this restaurant. The waitresses were always in a hurry to be somewhere other than our table, we ordered drinks which never arrived, we suffered through a seemingly endless and unapologized-for wait for our orders, and were finally rewarded with indifferent dishes which tasted as if they had just been defrosted or poured out of a tin… and all of this in a restaurant with less than half of its tables occupied. We finished nothing, went elsewhere for a snack/dessert, and will never return to Auntie Pesto’s. Dine here at your own risk!
