Stopped in for breakfast. While there were no breakfast sandwiches, we had a ham & cheese sandwich on homemade bread. We also had a butter tart. The meal was classic, homestyle cooking. Lots of sweet treats to choose from.
Not sure if this place has been taken over recently but my visit this month was different from previous experiences. They seemed to have less on offer and the staff were pretty glum. Barb’s has a wider selection of goods.

A good bakery second best on saltspring
Truly Salt Spring. If you want a taste of what Salt Spring is REALLY like, I recommend this bakery. The characters that frequent this establishment and hang out outside, make it interesting. The coffee is good and the cookies and baked goods are pretty good.
