We were at Mobys on a Saturday around 2:00 pm. The view from the outside deck was wonderful, and our server was friendly. The food was typical pub fare, but the fries that came with our lunch were barely warm and tough. We never did receive the water refills we requested, and the offer of a coffee refill came only as we were about to leave. Would we come back here next time we are on Saltspring Island? Probably not.
Went on a little getaway to Salt Spring for my boyfriends birthday. Our Airbnb left a bunch of information on the island activities and saw this restaurant in one of the brochures. We wanted to watch the Blue Jays game so we picked this bar. This place is covered in tvs and the view of the water from the bar is beautiful. The bartenders were very informative on the island and introduced us to their regulars as well as all the servers.
So, I was in town for work and decided to check this little place out. It was like no other place I have ever been in my life! The service, first of all, and I will go as far as to call it this, was world class. When I say this I don’t mean some guy walks around with a towel on his forearm and pours you free champagne as he compliments your attire in a genuine french accent. I just mean it’s better than any other service I’ve ever had before. Extremely friendly. The employees actually care about your experience there (and not cause they’re paid to). I came here again the very next night and the bartender adressed me by name and offered me what I was drinking the night before. I can’t even get that at my local pub. The food! AMAZING! Just try anything. Seriously. Cooked with love, no doubt. I’m going to come back here again. Who knows, maybe I’ll even move to salt spring!
