We were a party of seven ranging in age from 6 to 60, and EVERYONE was happy with their meals. We had one person lactose intolerant, another needed to be gluten free . . . neither was a problem. Even the diabetic in the group was happy because they offered not only the pre-sweetened ice tea mix most restaurants in Canada offer, but also an unsweetened alternative. The salads were fresh, the lamb burgers and gyros wonderful! The children had delightful kids’ meals, with plenty of colouring offered. Loved the atmosphere and the service. We were with family we had not seen for some time, and even though the restaurant was busy, they did not rush us when we sat a tad long to visit. Will be back!!!
We know this cafe quite well and have been eating here for many years, it was one of our favorites boasting a friendly staff, colorful variety of well prepared dishes, fun environment and over all great quality, however, in recent years we’ve eaten here less and less as we’ve sadly watched the food quality and service deteriorate. Upon our last visit in the summer 2015 we ordered a basic cocktail and beer, a lamb gyro and salmon sandwich. the food was not as good as we remembered it, the berry reduction on the salmon sandwich was missing. the service was slow although it wasn’t even very busy as there were still a number of empty tables. We finished our meals feeling less than satisfied and received our bill only to find that all the prices had gone up and our lunch bill was over 50$ not including the tip. All and all I imagine this visit will be our last.
Food, its taste average but interesting concept. Stuff service? No thanks.
Great way to start your day on this sweet island.. The food was a little slow but it was a small price to pay for what is obviously freshly prepared. The staff is great and the service was first class. That is all.
Rude Unapologetic Service.. Unapologetic bad service to the point we couldn’t order a meal and just left. I heard so much good things about this place based on user reviews on various sites, so I decided to bring my parents and sister here. When we got there, the servers we encountered were rude and even unapologetic about it. I was tempted to cancel the teas we ordered, but they already made some of them so we had them to go and left. I can only rate this place based on their bad service as we couldn’t put up with it long enough to order a meal. Bottom line: It’s a neat tree house of a design for a cafe. The service was so bad that we felt we needed to just pack up and leave. Definitely not going back, just wanted to warn others of the horrible unapologetic service.

Fantastic for gluten- and dairy free!. In our family of four, I’m the hypersensitive celiac & dairy-intolerant diner. I get massively sick from a crumb or a drop of milk, so dining out is tricky and often robs me of the next two or three days. The Tree House doesn’t claim to be completely gluten and dairy free, because their kitchen is small and there could be cross-contamination, but they did it right with us. (And we were careful to explain thoroughly, as we always do, which may have helped.) We all had delicious lunches, including my BLT — a complete novelty for me anywhere but in our kitchen. I felt like a ‘real’ person, eating a ‘normal’ sandwich! And it was so good!! Great service, fresh ingredients, fabulous atmosphere. We can’t wait to go back.
