I’m staying at a hotel nearby so I decided to come here on Jul 18, 2017. Restaurant was pretty empty except for one table with a few kids. Was very happy to hear Japanese being spoken between the server and chef. I ordered a couple of orders of sashimi, a couple of rolls, and gyoza ramen. The sashimi was delicious and portion size was great (as most of my sushi experiences in Van have been). The rolls were good and didn’t fall apart while being picked up. Ramen was lovely except there were pieces of onion disguised as pieces of nappa. Total bill was $38 including tax. Another fantastically priced meal in Van. Parking is limited (it looked like most people who arrived after me were walking). There’s a few spots in the back so come early.

After checking out banana lab next door, went for sushi. Greeted loudly at door, nice little restaurant. Ordered my usuals, sunomono and deluxe sashimi. Both good and fresh.

A clean, friendly sushi restaurant well situated in Sapperton. Good portions and good service. They have some fresh ideas and interesting options on the menu. Sushi pizza was a fun departure. I found the food overall to be not quite what I was expecting from a neighborhood sushi restaurant and haven’t been back in a while.

Hands Down the BEST sushi place!!!. Being Japanese, I’m very picky about my sushi. This is an excellent place if you want delicious food at an affordable price, and the service is quick. I’ve tried various Japanese restaurants in New West and was disappointed with all of them so I would just go into Vancouver to get my sushi fix, but thank goodness for Sushi Heaven. The staff are very welcoming and they also speak Japanese:) I can’t believe it took me this long to discover this place. I would highly recommend it!!!

Hit and miss. Sushi and rolls are good, but some cooked dishes like udon and tempura are subpar. Tempura was almost brownish and had a greasy smell. Yakiudon was bit salty and its sauce just tasted like soy sauce.

Best sushi in the neighborhood. I’m a regular here – they are consistently fast and always tasty. Takeout is just as good as dine-in, and usually just as quick, 20 mins or so on a typical night. The atmosphere is welcoming and the dining area is tidy and comfortable. The bento boxes are only available for dine-in, but they’re tasty enough to merit the trip. Love this place 🙂
