THEY TRIED TO GIVE ME FAKE MONEY!If i could give this no stars i would.. What a shady place. The food was ok sure, but the service was terrible our server brought our order then left to sit and eat in the corner, so getting refills was tedious, but the WORST PART is they tried to give me a counterfeit five dollar bill with my change!… I quickly realized it was fake from basic indications of the texture and light trick. I called her out on it and asked for a different five.. She didn’t hesitate to give me a real one when i called her bullshit. Prior too, she looked like she was grabbing it from the side of the register.. She didnt even apologize just gave me a real bill because i didnt fall for it. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR BILLS! They may try to pull a fast one on you! Please let me know if anyone else experienced this criminal act. What a shady company karma has no mercy for the wicked.

UPDATE: Get the Chicken Kaarage! Probably the best one I’ve ever had, it was super tender and juicy! Since I work right in the White Rock area I thought I would try Sapporo Kitchen out for the first time on my lunch break. I was actually quite impressed with their food, some sushi restaurants are a hit and miss and this one was definitely a hit! I ordered the spicy yam tempura roll, which was the best yam roll i’ve ever had! 2 kinds of spicy sauces and it was much bigger than a standard roll! I also ordered their regular gyoza, which actually came maybe 10 minutes after my roll, but I didn’t really mind, that was also delicious! The only thing I would say is their service was a tad slow, but it was also a busy time of day. But if you’re looking for a good sushi option in White Rock I would recommend Sapporo Kitchen!

I’ll be coming back to sapporo kitchen to try some other menu items. Came here as the sign caught my eye. Food review first, ordered the monkey Brain on the menu ( deep fried avocado stuffed with crab) and a roll topped with mango and pineapple. Both I thought were flavourful and would recommend these two items for sure. Place was clean , service was good. I’ll definitely be coming back to try some other menu items. This restaurant was a blind date for me, didn’t have any information about it before and I will be back for a second date.

Loved the Mr. Big and Kiss Me rolls. Flavourful and delicious. The fish is fresh and melts in your mouth! The assorted aburi was very nice as well.

Sapporo kitchen, a restaurant with high attention to detail of plating, exotic combinations of sushi and more expensive variety of seafood, charges far more than the food is worth. Let me start off by saying no that Sapporo is by no means a horrible place to eat sushi at. I’ve been to this place several times and have not been disappointed with the service or the food. If you’re only ordering raw sushi, I highly recommend this place for their variety and quality; other than that, sapporo continues to disappoint. Cooked meals such as the fried tofu, chicken teriyaki, prawn tempura or their new ramen selection, a few of the meals I have ordered in the past, are all flavourless and just plain sad. The seafood udon, however, is above average in regards to their other selection. In conclusion, I only recommend only going to Sapporo for their sushi and be prepared to pay higher than usual.
