Love it. Good service great food and decent drink specials. Sundays they have a great roast beef and yorkie dinner for $9.95 and decent house wine for $3.95. I think this may be one of the best places in Sidney. We are making it our spot for Sunday dinner.
Great local pub. We stopped in to the Charles Dickens in Sidney as we missed the ferry to Vancouver.I was frustrated that we had to wait two hours for the next ferry but the staff made us feel welcome right away.It was nice to find a place in which prices were affordable combined with a clean, comfortable atmosphere,even though the fireplace was a little hot.Great selection of food and beers on tap.My wife really enjoyed the Fish and Chips .Since I live in Victoria I will be sure to leave for the ferry a little bit early and stop into the pub for a beer or two on my next trip to the mainland.
