Always great! So good and very friendly staff. One of our regular stopping spots! Thanks for all the great meals. Breakfasts and lunch are equally good.

Typical diner food in an eclectic 50s-style setting. The housemade hollandaise sauce for the eggs benny was a bit sour (too much lemon juice?). Waffles and sliced banana were average. Not a huge portion size for price (I was still hungry afterwards but that might have to do with biking from Westshore). Average.

A good meal in general, but when you have a bunch of people waiting for a table and you let staff members bring friends in ahead of the line to get seats that basically tells me you aren`t that interested in having us return. Seriously, terrible optics. Pretty embarrassed for the owners of this place that your staff have so little respect for the customers.

We came near closing but they still welcomed us in, took our orders promptly and were very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. I had one of their sandwiches, and the 2 other people in my party had a sandwich and a burger, and we were all very satisfied with portions and quality. I ordered the salad option with my sandwich, and it was huge and very good. Ambiance was great – 50s diner style. Good value as well.

This is a very good restaurant, combining both really friendly service and we’ll made food. My favorite for breakfast is either a Benny (they’re all pretty damn good), or a Mexican inspired mess of a breakfast (the name of which escapes me) that is just so good!

Awesome Food. Been there twice in three days. Salmon omelet was huge filled with a generous portion of salmon, with a large portion of hash browns and toast. Second day C had pork ribs and apple, squash and fennel soup both were delicious. Atmosphere is great, staff very friendly may be going back to make it three times out of four.

The Five & Dime Diner is such an upgrade to the Sidney appeal. Such friendly service and affordable meals. Worth the drive out to enjoy the tasty treasures this old-school diner has to offer.
