Ok food. Nothing great. I found the staff are always too busy chit chatting to refill coffees or bring your food when it's ready. We avoid this place …

Unfortunately this place seems to have gone down hill. The service was great with a super helpful waitress but the food is not great. They were out of hollandaise (both times that I went), the eggs are weirdly watery and an off color yellow, the bacon tasted burnt, the ham was sliced super thin and the portions overall were quite small for the price. I dont think Ill be giving this place a 3rd chance to redeem itself
I ate here today with my son, husband and parents. The menus were dirty as was the washroom (toilet right next to a filthy wall, blinds and everything were questionably dirty). With that said, the food was okay–better in theory than execution. The menu claimed the turkey on the clubhouse was roasted in-house… if it was, it wasn’t from a whole turkey (possibly just a breast roast). The salmon and corn chowder costs $2.50 extra as a side, but it’s shown on the board listed with the rest of the soups; It was good, but not outstanding.
Great little cafe with excellent breakfast!! Food came out pretty fast and it was very well priced. Didn’t try lunch but I hear it’s great.
Love love love it here! Super cute decor, friendly staff, quick service, great food, and great prices! Sour cream pancakes are the best! I always enjoy eating here havent had a bad experience!
Mom’s is a must for me when i visit Sooke. The pie is to die for, and most recently I tried the mushroom omelette for breakfast which was both tasty and gigantic. I can see why it is always busy when I go in.
Breakfast Poutine is an amazing thing. Was passing thru sooke a short while back and decided to pop into mom’s, was blown away with the service and the breakfast poutine was amazing!!!Never had one before and doubt anything can compare!Definitely something to try!
Maybe for dessert. I’m on the boat about this place. My friend raved about their amazing caesar salad here so we gave it a go. She ordered the salad as a meal for about $10 and I ordered a sandwich with caesar salad as the side. Our salad portions were almost the same size! The salad wasn’t amazing by any means, but it was fine. We thought maybe they charged her for a side salad since she also ordered an appy, but no, that tiny little thing was her main dish. It was pretty pathetic. At least give some garlic bread or something. It’s funny because everybody else’s dishes were huge portions, even my sandwich. The restaurant was packed. I think if you know what to order this cafe might be okay, but with that experience, I likely will not be coming back…except for maybe some homemade pie.
