This is a Hong Kong-style restaurant located on Cambie, not far from the King Edward skytrain station. Like most restaurants of their kind, they have quite an extensive menu of Asian-Western fusion style dishes. I had their Macau Style Bun with Pork Chop and Gloucester Club House Spaghetti. The food was good; nothing mind-blowing but still tasty. The prices are very reasonable. The service is typical of most Chinese-style restaurants: the staff aren’t particularly attentive and do occasionally mix up orders, but they are quite efficient. This is definitely worth visiting.Macau Style Bun with Pork Chop ($10.99):4/5This comes with your choice of chicken, pork, or fish (I went with pork) and comes with fries and your choice of either coffee or tea (I had coffee). The pork chop was a bit chewy in some parts, but still tender, juicy, and flavourful. I really enjoyed the bread, which was crispy and nicely toasted on the outside and soft and chewy on the interior. The fries were decent; not the crispiest but still tasty and well seasoned. I found the coffee to be a bit weak for my taste: I actually thought it was tea, but it was creamy.Gloucester Club House Spaghetti ($13.59):3.5/5This consisted of spaghetti in a tomato sauce containing ham, scrambled eggs, and mushrooms, and was topped with a sunny side up egg. The noodles were nicely cooked, being tender while retaining a bit of firmness. The sauce was pretty thick and coated the spaghetti well. I did find the flavours to be a tad one-note, but still tasty.Summary:Food: 3.5/5Price: 4.5/5Service: 3/5Overall: 3.5/5Recommendations: Macau Style Bun with Pork Chop

Cafe Gloucester is probably one of the oldest Hong Kong style fusion cafe in Vancouver. It has been there almost 30 years. There food still have reasonable quality, but I feel that they are not as good as 10, 15 years ago. The rice I got were to mushy and the soup seems a bit salty.

It’s a very busy place and not easy to find parking but if you go before 1130am and before 6pm you are usually able to get a table. The Hong Kong Style tea and Ovaltine is good. I love their Thai fried rice, just enough spicy and yes they have cut up spam. Taste it and than judge me! The beef brisket with rice is also tasty! Service is good. I like it a lot better better than ICafe in the same general area. ICafe food is bland.

Cheap hk style! I went for breakfast today and everything ordered in pictures was only $24 for 2 ppl. The coffee milk tea had a LOT of sugar.. I always ask for half sweet. Don’t want to end up being diabetic. The omelette has 2 choices of meat or veggie and choice of sauce. I picked scallop and shrimp with curry sauce .. I’ll try the tomato sauce next time (other choice was cream). The noodle soup was tasty! I always get the preserved veggie and pork, I love it.
