came here on a weekdays’ dinner , if you’re coming down here i would strongly recommend have a reservation first because the place will be packed with reservation from the time of the opening till closing. without reseravation you’re pretty much looking at your luck that someone didn’t come for their reservation/cancel their reservation.food wise i honestly think it’s one of the best hotpot i’ve ever tasted, the soup base /broth was incredible the depth and the ingredients they used were definitely good, the taste of the broth was sweet not on the tip of the tongue but rather the sweetness lingers after you drink the broth. definitely good stuff. and the meat selection and meatball was good as well. overall i’m impressed with the way they have their broth made. definitely didn’t dissapoint at all. price wise it’s a little bit more pricy but i think this one is def worth the price. mangkr.wordpress.com
My coworkers and I came here with our client for dinner. We reserved a table a week in advance. We knew this restaurant was always packed and full of customers. That means the food must be good. We ordered a lot of beef and lamb as well as some seafood. The quality of the food was great and fresh! We ordered the food based on the number of people. It was not all you can eat type of hot pot, so we wouldnt waste the food. We also ordered a couple bottles of wine/champagne. The customer service was great. However, once the restaurant was busier, it seems to be under staff. We had to wait for a while whenever we needed to order something. Pricing wise…. it was a bit more expensive than other hot pot places, but it was what it was. We paid for good qualify and fresh food. It was worth it! There is a parking lot behind the restaurant. If there is no parking at the back, there is street parking, so no worries about finding a parking spot. Overall, we had a great experience here tonight. This is the only hot pot restaurant in this neighbourhood. If you want hot pot for dinner, you can consider coming here. They open from 5pm to 1 or 2am.
Good service Good food/ one of the better hotpot place Pricier than other hotpot places Known for late night Chinese food as well Private room available If i had to choose 1 dish: fried wings Would I go back ? Yes
Well known hot pot place that has been around for ages and is always busy. Prices are steep but quality is top notch. Fresh spicy crab was fresh and delicious and was flavoured just right with garlic, onions and chilli peppers. We had fresh sea bass where the meat was prepared for hot pot and the bones were deep fried to snack on. Pork bone soup base was delicious. Best part was finishing off in the end with fresh noodles with the flavourful soup base. For dessert, they make really good dessert tofu. Overall you get what you pay for. Quality of the food is fresh and vegetables are washed thoroughly.
Best Hot Pot in Town?Last night wentto Landmarkfor dinner because weweretold this is the best Hot Pot in town. Looked promising though–becausethe place wasbustling. Had the pork bone broth and the Sichuan Spicy broth, with rice noodles, enoki mushrooms, fresh tofu, Chinese cabbage, beef balls and shrimp (that never arrived).Despite the two impressive pork bones – the pork broth was bland. TheSichuan Spicy broth was deliciously spicy though. Portions are generous but expensive. Service is terrible – you have to be aggressive about getting any sort of service. Evidently I wasn’t aggressive enough because our dishes arrived once every 20 minutes and our shrimp never made it to the table.I would go back one two conditions: 1) to try the crab but probably couldn’t afford it which leaves me to 2) if someone else was paying …but otherwise the best hot pot in Vancouver is still at home.
This is a fantastic place for hotpot. I was with friends and they ordered for our table as they are regulars here. We cooked a good variety of delicious beef and pork, and different meat balls. The vegetables were fresh and washed well. The price definitely matches the quality of food and service here. Definitely a worthy dinning experience.
EXPENSIVE. This place is pretty pricey not going to lie.. so be prepared to fork over 100+ for 2 people. Between my boyfriend and I, we ordered three dishes with the double hotpot soup base and our total was averaging 170$? This is only because we ordered some more expensive dishes but compared to other hotpot places it is expensive. However, the price you pay gives such high quality cuts of meats. We ordered the geoduck and it was so sweet and fresh, highly recommend if you are willing to pay. The beef and pork were also great.
