Want something a little different other then corporate donuts? Come here for some old school euro bakery treats on the go. When you enter the store it’s very tight. I recommend exploring early so there’s more space to look. They have a tremendous amount of treats on their shelfs. Fresh pastries baked daily. Their donuts are good and if you buy 6 there’s no tax! I asked the lady to choose her favorite pastry for me to eat on the go. She suggested the cheese donut or blueberry danish. Delicious.

Rolls by Poles. This is more of a grocery store than an eatery. I mainly go here for bread — Piast has a good selection of made-right-there rolls, buns and other Eastern European baked goods by their front door — but they have loads of canned/bottled foods from places that used to be behind the Iron Curtain. Pickles, sauerkraut, egg noodles, etc. I’ve been tempted to try some of the cakes or sweets they have in their deli counter, but they’re often closed when I roll up to their door. (Fuggedaboudit on Sundays and Mondays, or after 6 p.m.)
