No Terrible. Around 3 or 4 weeks ago my husband and I went in to have aside of fries and I a grilled cheese sandwich, the cheese was all in the middle, no pickle and chips under cooked if you can not even make a simple grilled cheese sandwich that speaks volumes not the 89 inn of the last 20 years, different owners ..old ones were good prices were fair, another thing that was weird is when you open the menu the booze price list is the first thing you see,if this was a bar/restaurant I could see this being the first thing you see but not at a so called family place. I guess they’re trying to have a rubber sandwich restaurantI dare to think what their Japanese food would be like if they can’t even cook chips proper.
YUM. It’s cheap cheap cheap, but yum yum yum. The quality isn’t spectacular, but considering it’s very inexpensive and the portions provided are huge, I have no complaints. The lemon chicken (110, or 111, or 109?) is delicious beyond belief and the wonton soup is fantastic both in taste and quantity (HUGE bowl for $4)! I’ve both ordered out and eaten in, and both are enjoyable. Don’t expect fine dining, but beyond that, be ready for some enjoyable food!
Worst one in Vancouver. Worst food~~ you dont want to try it~~ trust me
Awful do not eat here
Price is okay for the quantity of the food. I ordered take-out for the combo box with teriyaki beef, California roll, assorted tempura, green salad, and miso soup. The good: – miso soup: had tofu bits and seaweed which I like- tempura: they gave lots of assorted tempura! Prawns, yam, squash, carrot, zucchini.. And they tasted pretty goodThe bad:- beef teriyaki: although they added mushrooms and large quantity, the quality was not up to par. It didn’t taste like teriyaki and tasted a bit funny.. The rice was not typical Japanese rice which are supposed to be round and fat. It was more like Cantonese rice which are longer.- California roll: rice was soggy and crab meat had no taste… Most disappointing part of the order- green salad: veggies did not taste freshAlthough, I did not eat-in, they did seem to have good customer service. The lady who brought the food to me openned the door for me when I walked out because I was holding a lot of grocery bags in my hands.
Eclectic Menu. This place is running by a Cantonese speaking family, but serves Japanese, Western, and Chinese food. Went there for Japanese as there aren’t a lot of great Japanese options in the Sunset area, and I can’t say that this place fared much better. I ordered a combination box that included some beef teriyaki (overcooked and dry), sushi rolls (didn’t look or taste very fresh), tempura (nicely fried, it a bit oily). Still, offered a decent value for $10, and I was full. Also had a curry laksa while I was there, and it wasn’t anything to write home about.
