Best dim sum at Surrey, have to say better than lots of Richmond restaurant, and price is much lower than Richmond, servers are all nice. For a huge portion and reasonable price, family must go every week
Went in today at 5 pm to place a takeout order to include a small congee and steamed prawn dumplings. A rather imperious male staff member refused to fill the order, telling me I’d have to instead buy a large congee. I had previously ordered the same items on a number of occasions. Since I was having dinner alone, I walked out and now don’t intend to go back and risk being made uncomfortable again. I also intend to let my friends know. The restaurant literature stated that dim sum is available until 5 pm. Not a pleasant experience, why do they do it? Pity, because the congee is decent.
The service is poor, and the food is mediocre. Everyone working there seems unhappy and not thrilled to be there. You wait (a long time) to be seated, even though there are free tables, then you wait (a long time) to place your order, then you wait (a long time) for the meh food. Soft drinks are pricey and there are no refills included – it would cost them only a few cents to make this concession, given the prices. They really ought to change their attitude toward customers and take some of these reviews to heart, or they will be out of business.
I am surprised by the number of negative comments. Bottom line is, you do get authentic Szechuan cuisine here and the service wasn’t bad either. The price is a little on the expensive side that is my main complaint. I’ve ordered take-outs and dined in a couple of times with family. Again, these negative comments make no sense to me.
My parents think this is the more decent chinese restaurant in South Surrey, but….I didnt like it here at all. Food was mediocre to poor. Teppan beef had good flavor but it was cut way too thick and very hard to chew. Spicy chicken had a whole bunch of bones and was very dry. Tofu soup was very starchy with little amount of actual substantial ingredients.
Terrible service. Had visitors from Ontario and took them out to dinner. Ordered three dishes, sounded simple enough. Got our rice dish in about fifteen minutes. Then waited and waited for the rest. When the rice was nicely cold the brought the chicken dish. Asked waitress about third dish, not much help. Talked to manager who did not seem too worried about it. Finally got our last dish about 45 minutes after the first. Not only was the service bad but the staff and management did not seem to care. I now could care less and will NOT be back here again.
The crappiest restaurant that you are able to find in the town. Horrible and cheap quality food with cheesy service from the employees. As the worst restaurant in the town, it serves literally rotten meat and vegetables. I had been in the washroom for almost an hour after I had my lunch there. And the attitude of the employees is so awful that I was even told to share seats with others after waiting for more than thirty minutes. Please make your way to this restaurant if you want to stay in the washroom for an hour or two.
