A gem on the island. What a gem this place is. My wife and I, on our week-long trip in Galiano Island, stumbled upon this place randomly (not that there’s many places to stumble on in Galiano). We ended up coming back here for 4 of our 5 meals out. We love this place and everyone who works here. Amelia and Debra(sp?) helped made this place so welcoming and warm. Their burgers are amazing — jaw-dropping in size but the the ingredients are so fresh and made just right. The Eggs Bennys are to die for. Now I’m a self-professed connoisseur of eggs benedicts… and theirs are phenomenal. Trust me, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better one anywhere.The place is cozy and warm, with a wood-burning fireplace to keep it nice and toasty on dreary west coast days. Some days there’s live music. We’re just in love with this place and are already looking forward to going back again.
Long wait for order. We went for lunch – the restaurant was not busy – only 4 other tables occupied. We ordered our food right away, and sat down. An hour later, we were still waiting for our two sandwiches to be served. Being pressed for time we had to leave, and asked for the order to go. Came back 15 minutes later to pick up the food and it was just ready. The food was okay, nothing special for the price. Over $10 for a sandwich. First time I have ever seen a quesadilla without cheese?!
