My wife and I went here once only. My wife ordered a chicken burger with lettuce instead of a bun that was more lettuce than chicken. It fell apart when she ate it because it had three pieces of chicken instead of one big piece. I ordered a simple hamburger which tasted fine but was not the gourmet burger their reputation promised. I definitely felt their menu was over priced for what we got. On the plus side we went there to have conversation time with our friends and I found it comfortable for that at least. Even the best of us have a bad night and a popular chain like this one is no different so I can’t say I wouldn’t ever try them again, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.
Came back to find that the burgers are still pretty good. The fries we got were hot and plentiful (most fast food restaurants don’t fill the fry container, this place does) dining area was clean and comfy, courteous staff. Sometimes the patty in my burger isn’t as hot as I like it, but I prefer right of the grill hot. JB likes it.01 Feb, 2015French Fries. Hamburgers not too impressive. My husband and I thought we would try a hamburger at Carl’s Jr. We were not impressed. My husband and l did not finish our hamburgers. We were not asked what size a coffee we wanted so were given a large, where we would a ordered a medium, if we would of been asked. We also ordered a side order of onion rings, just one and were given two. Mushrooms on the Angus beef burger tasted canny. Too bad, we were looking forward to eating a great burger, but were disappointed.

Brewrabb. What is the definition of insanity? Trying the same thing over and over expecting a different result. I have tried Carls Jr 3 times now and have been disappointed each time. This last, and final time, I ordered 2 sandwiches and a large drink (drive thru). When my order arrived there were 3 sandwiches (1 of which I ordered) and 2 orders of fries. After a few bites of 2 of the sandwiches the rest went in the garbage. I usually don’t complain about getting extra food but will take quality over quantity. A new location, Penticton BC, but same disappointing result. I’ll stick to Wendys or Triple O’s from now on.
Paying more for perfectly average burgers. My dad had heard a bit of hype about this place and wanted to try it. We stopped in while in town that day.He got some sort of hawaiian burger (it had a pineapple in it) and some chili cheese fries. Meanwhile I got.. something with onion rings in it and barbecue sauce. Memphis something? Sorry, I can’t remember. >.>We ordered and waited. The food came out pretty snappy. It was hot and looked good.We got to eating though and were rather disappointed. They’re just burgers, dude. And they’re a bit more expensive than they reasonably should be considering the quality.I mean, they’re not bad by any means. Not at all. But they are -absolutely- average burgers. I simply do not see the value. There is no new experience to be had here.We were so awestruck by the averageness that we are considering trying a different location that just opened in Abbotsford here. Just to kind of double check. We’ll see how that goes but that may very well be the last chance it gets.EDIT: Tried it again around January 20 at a new location in Abbotsford. Pretty tasty chocolate shakes, not bad-tasting burgers.. but I’m sorry, these are just regular burgers, guys. My review stands.That was a pretty good shake though.
