BEWARE DO NOT ORDER FOR DELIVERY EXTREME TERRIBLE SERVIVE AND FOOD. I ordered for delivery asked the order taker what it cost for two dinners for delivery and she said that it was $19.99 for two dinners for delivery. I places the order and ask what the cost was. She said $29 I asked her why it was that price and she said there is a $3.50 delivery charge. I asked her I thought you said two dinners delivered for $19.99. She than started getting rude instead of just apologizing for the miscommunication and told me she never said that and when I tried to speak she kept cutting me off and was raising her voice. I asked to speak to her supervisor I spoke to Bebe and she was even worse she was yelling and cutting me off and told me that don’t expect to have the delivery charge removed which was not my intention. I just wanted someone to acknowledge that it should of been said $19.99 plus delivery charge. Her response was that she would take it to the training team Wow. I asked to speak to someone in their customer careline and she than hung up on me. I phoned back the order number to see if my order was on its way and she had cancelled the order. I asked for the direct line to speak to someone the girl I spoke to, said their was nothing she could do as Bebe was her team leader. She than ask if I would like to talk to a supervisor and she put me on hold and after 15 minutes I relized that they weren’t concern about my complaint as they never answered.
Been here at least 3 times, one of those times was takeout. Food is par as far as the chain goes. As far as service… honestly, the takeout was the best service I’ve had from this location. The general manager needs to realize his restaurant is part of a bigger chain and start following procedures like the rest of the chain does. This time around I had to actually negotiate the price of a special order dinner that (literally) every other restaurant has a standard upcharge for. Their excuse? ‘we don’t have a button for that’. Pretty lame at best, considering I’ve ordered the same dinner here previously. I’ve also yet to see a bone plate or finger bowl or extra napkins without specifically asking for it.
Horrible service. Every time I have been there is a mix up with order and very poor service. Chicken is ok, but don’t care for the overall menu.
Service. I tried to place an order for delivery and was shunted to the worst connection ever. the woman on the phone kept turning her volume up saying I’m make it better… all it did was make the static on the line loud enough that I gave up because it really really hurt my ear… She never answered my question as to whether or not this location actually did delivery, she was too busy trying to tell me I needed a store in Ontario. I live in British Columbia, and a store in Mississauga won’t help. Now Eagle Landing is the right location but last time I checked they were only ‘getting delivery’ but didn’t know when. I don’t drive and I wanted something nice for my birthday… what a hassle. peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are the order of the day now. I just don’t want to deal with people who only hear what they think they want to and ignore the information from the customer they are speaking with. The food is usually good at most Swiss Chalets, though I have not been to this local one. At some point I might get out there, but as I walk with a cane and it is over $10 in a taxi it is just not worth it… it would mean spending $20 on transportation to eat a $15 meal… unless it is travel to another country it is not going to happen, birthday or no birthday.
I have to say i am very very disappointed with swiss chalet. I will never go there again. The very first time I went, my chicken was undercooked and the wrap was so soggy I didn’t even eat half of it. The fries were disgusting. Now, I try it again a year later just to see if chilliwack swiss chalet had improved and I’m disappointed yet again. We order online, it doesn’t come in 2 hours since we made the order and we call in and they haven’t even process the order yet. So we order again and they don’t do anything to offset the troubles or the time we spent waiting. My fianc ended up going and getting the food directly from the restaurant. We are happy we finally get to eat… 3 hours later. The Caesar salad was gross. The leaves were brown and soggy and the chicken…. We didn’t eat it. It was so red that if we had eaten it, it would have caused good poisoning… I will never go to swiss chalet ever again. And there is nothing they can do that will change that.
Chicken was very moist, tried the red velvet cake. .not that great.
Been Three Times, Good Food, Good Service. Swiss Chalet has improved since the 20 years-or-so I was at one last. This location so far has had great service (first visit was in late September) and tonight, we got served by the best waitress so far, Kim. I regularily have their veggie burger and sub extra cole slaw instead of the fries (seems silly to me to have fries on a healthy meal option).
