Definitely a hidden gem in Steveston — I’ve to Chef’s Playground several times now and I can say that their eggs benedict is the best you’ll find south of the Cambie bridge and definitely one of the best in the GVR, period (it holds its own against Medina, Yolks, and Forage). Every single time we’ve had it the eggs are soft poached to perfection and the hollandaise is on point. Plus their home made focaccia is a great upgrade over traditional uninspired english muffins.Service is also very friendly and attentive and Spencer makes every visit a treat. At $9 it’s a no-brainer!
