Family of four visiting this restaurant for the first time. A bit of a wait to good fried food and the staff were friendly. I would visit again.
01.06.2017 I love the crispiness in the batter 2 pcs Halibut & chips $19.95 served with coleslaw & tar tar sauce. Additional $ for substitutions i.e soup, salad, yam fries, onion rings good place to take the family $35-40/ 2 people without drinks—- This used to be my favourite F&C place but I don’t what had changed, management? Prices increased, inflation I guess; New England chowder isn’t the same anymore compared to like 3 years ago or so. I find that it has looooots of potatoes and less seafood in my bowl, was disappointed Dave’s fries is good, this used to be bottomless, now that is it! Again second disappointment! Fish is still good, Halibut is the way to go! Lovely fish, perfectly battered & cooked. My previous visit I found the oil a bit overused so the fish had that taste. This time, fish was perfect limited parking along the streets so be there early!
BEST halibut fish and chips I’ve ever had. Little bit pricey for the fish but the food was definitely worth it.Great service as well! Better than Pajo’s fish and chips.
I decided to drop by this restaurant after realizing pajo’s wasnt opened one day (kinda bummed cause i wanted to try it for a while). I ordered the cod with chips and everything was mediocre. This review is a bit late so I hadn’t tried pajo’s before this restaurant but i have now and their fries definitely beat pajos in my opinion, However, go fish will forever be my favourite go to fish and chips joint!
Walking around stevston on a cold day, decided to stop in for lunch. Ordered new England clam chowder, OK could use more clams. Then came one fish and chips, oyster (5 pc) and chips. Very crispy and delicious dishes with lots of fries.
We stopped in here for a quick take out of the classic fish and chips without looking at reviews beforehand and are glad we did! The halibut was very tasty and the staff (even though it was to go) was great and attentive.
Ordered the combo – the clams smelled funny so I couldn’t eat them… Overall just meh. Husband tried the clam chowder and wasn’t dazzled by it either.
