The Exxon Valdez of Chinese food. If you like tasteless Chinese food floating in a giant oil slick, then Timmy’s Kitchen is the place for you. Honestly, it takes a special talent to mess up a simple stir fry. Tried their lobster/crab combo deal. Ended up with the deep fried exoskeleton of a few crustaceans, and virtually no meat. Maybe we forgot to specify that we wanted the edible parts. The rest of the meal continued the pattern. All grease, no taste.Don’t waste your time here.

Seriously good Chinese food!!. This was our first time trying Timmy Kitchen. Normally I don’t even like ‘take out’ Chinese, but this was absolutely yummy. Delivery came in 40 min. rather than ‘an hour’. Even my normally critical spouse pronounced it delicious. The portions was amazingly ample and the price really reasonable. The delivery person was friendly and we cannot wait to go and have a meal in the restaurant. Dishes we ordered were scallops with XO sauce: #91 (a bit of a kick, tender scallops, and lots of snow peas) and the beef and black bean with rice noodles:#167, also LOTS of vegies:) This place is even better than the restaurant that was the predecessor (Fisherman’s Village,) which was good too.
First time we went here I thought it was pretty good, and not nearly as crowded as many of the Steveston restaurants. But the second time the food wasn’t as good. It is a little more hidden, so the crowds don’t see this place as easily. I’m not sure about consistency of food though, and the bathrooms needed some help.
