Waves Caf ReviewI go to Waves with my friends time to time, I enjoy the food and drinks there. I like the friendly staff and I met the manager. I like the different flavours of drinks and all the different type of food dishes that a person can eat. The place is very clean and the food is freshly cooked. The prices are not very expensive. The service is fast and a person do not have to wait for a long time, but taste great. If you are in a rush, then you should go to another coffee shop. There are many place to sit. I talk to the people who work there, they busy on the weekend. It is a large place and it is good for a large group of people to enjoy their drink or large group party. It is better to take out for large parties. That all for now.Jolie

I don’t understand why the ratings are so low for this place. Granted, the food and drinks aren’t spectacular but it’s another coffee shop franchise so you can’t expect too much. I like this place because after a long day of exploring Steveston Village I want to be able to relax and drink some type of ice cold blended beverage. I don’t like how pricey Waves Coffee drinks and pastries are but I still prefer it over Starbucks which is kind of overrated (sorry hipster coffee-drinkers).
Nice location and very spacious. The best thing about this branch is that they’re open until 12am. However, the baristas start turning the lights off at 11pm, and by 11:30, most of the lights are off, as if to to rush you out so they can get home.
Service. I have gone to this coffee house many times with my friend for studying. they have a great vibe for students needed a nice place to study. However, the service there is horrible. Every time my friend and i have gone they are rude, and very bored with their jobs. We saw one of the baristas brushing her teeth behind the counter! if you are going for a place to study it is a great place to go, but to go for just coffee, there are other coffee shops with better customer service.
Customer service issues. Bad service. Can’t ever remember going to a coffee shop and have the happiness sucked out of the room. Go to Blenz or Starbucks just down the block.NB- I can’t speak for all Waves coffee so this review is just on the Steveston location and purely based on my service experience.
Very poor service. Barista needs training on customer service skills…very rude.
