The staff here are pretty nice, just your usual mom & pop restaurant. If you’re in the area and craving a burger with fries, this is the place to go. Their breakfast (ham/bacon/sausage + 2 eggs + buttered toast + hashbrowns) is pretty good too for more or less $6. Poutine is just fries with shredded cheese & gravy for also more or less $6 which is pretty good if you’re craving some of that as well, but ofc it’s not like actual authentic poutine. Their burgers come with fries and range from around $6 to $8 depending on if you want some extras (cheese/mushrooms/bacon).I’ve never tried anything else here though.TL;DR: Burgers, breakfast combo, and poutine are SOLID choices here.
Family restaurant treats you like one of the very own sons and daughters. Always excellent meals for very affordable prices. Soups are excellent! Current special is the crispy chicken burger! Mmmm
Comfort Food. This is a very simple diner that serves up semi-fresh comfort food, at low prices. I had dinner here, which came with a bowl of soup-of-the-day. I’ve never had split pea soup before, and I have no idea if this was homemade, but it was hearty, rich, and well flavoured. The 25 degree summer day hampered my enjoyment of it a bit, but in the winter, this would be amazing. The roast beef dinner was disappointing; I had been hoping for thick slices of tender beef, but alas, it was a pile of very thinly sliced, scraggly and flavorless meat. However, smothered in brown gravy, it was edible. The mashed potatoes and vegetables were all fresh, just need to add a dash of salt. The service is hurried, but very nice – the waitress took a quarter off my bill!Their burgers are ridiculously juicy – well worth the cheap-o price. Their clubhouse sandwich is also made with REAL carved turkey meat!
Bacon cheese burger is incredible….. Better than romer or Vera’s burger
