busy during their peak hours pay parking along Hastings or free 1-2 hour parking along the side streets wait can be >30 mins otherwise come early daily specials available very good server, Anton! efficient service Food: 4/5!!!- French toast: a must to have!!! They use Panko bread crumbs which gives lovely texture on every bite- Lemon Hollandaise: amazingly delicious and fresh tasting! Eggs Benedict: good enough
A lot like Red Wagon close to Hastings and Nanaimo but with a menu that changes more often. Expect a line-up on a weekend morning. Building is old and smells old- but the inside is homey with a lot of nice, fun art by local artists. Serve interesting alcoholic brunch drinks. This place will not disappoint the breakfast food and brunch enthusiast.
Decent spot for brunch in town! Understandable wait time for a seat. Well chosen ingredients as well. The lemon truffle hash is unique enough to delight but familiar enough to be the comfort food we all want on the weekend.
The french toast with maple ham, and candied walnut / banana / caramel sauce. The sweetness takes the savoury flavour over, which makes it is hard to eat as breakfast (I like eating dessert but not in the early morning). I like the mimosa cocktail (they offer a small version, so you can drink it in the morning).
Ordered Chicken & Waffles and 2 egg Benedict. Chicken waffles only come with 4 small pieces of chicken, not a big portion like Tuc Craft and not as good as before ( year or two ago). Egg Benny – sauce is good, eggs are cook perfect. Must order side truffle-lemon hashbrowns, taste very good but can be a bit salty.
Completely worth the wait, there’s almost always a wait. Bring a big appetite and definitely order the chicken and waffles at least once! I love their vibe for a weekend brunch.
