Do not go here if you’re allergic to gluten or a Celiac like myself. They say that they can make most of their foods gluten free but when I asked what their substitute was for the veggie stir fry they told me they use a teriyaki sauce. I asked to see the label for the sauce and the FIRST ingredient was WHEAT……..?! These girls do not know what they’re talking about and should be educated on something as important as gluten allergies. The girl I was asking questions to had no idea what she was talking about and had to ask the other girls for information, who were not even paying attention. They were standing around chatting and giving me short answers. Don’t advertise on your boards that you can give us gluten free options if you’re not going to answer my questions properly. Somebody could get severely sick from that mistake. Poor service.
Horrible service. I don’t think they have ever gotten my order right. That aside, I only order when I’m like the only person in line and they still take like 30 minutes to prepare a stirring fry!!! They should be a bit more efficient or atleast apologize or atleast give a discount coupon for next time for being such an inconvenience to the students. As if were not already restricted on time.

Love the Grassroots. By far the best place to eat on or near the Kwantlen Surrey campus and the only place to have a drink.
