Day old food??? (Summerland location). Awful! We had the buffet for supper, the rice and chow mien in particular looked suspiciously like they had been out since lunch, maybe had even been on someone else’s plate earlier. Many of the items I had were of inconsistent temperature and texture. Some of the ginger beef looked and tasted like liver and the meat in the chicken balls was suspiciously dark, greasy, and unchicken like. The aforementioned rice and chow mien in particular had portions dried hard with age. But the coup de gras came when I tried the fruit salad. It had been out so long it had literally started to ferment. I have never thrown up in a restaurant before, but I came VERY close this time.
Quality Buffet. We eat here every time we come up from Victoria. Family run, basic amenities, but great buffet. They keep the food fresh, only adding hot fresh food as required. The food doesn’t sit for hours.
