Service staff were not polite nor helpful, when calling they were beyond rude and honestly didnt seem like they wanted to have there jobs. The quality of food was meh… when asked to add food to the meal that was featured in other courses the answer was no. Customer service was beyond ZERO. Save your self the hurt and dont eat here.
Best restaurant in Summerland. 🙂 nice patio & good food. Hubby went crazy for the Cajun chicken penne & I loved the crispy skin salmon. 7yr old Daughter had pepperoni pizza & ate every piece. Drinks are expensive but happy to say they are stiff on the pour. Must make reservation as its busy & patio seats are hard to get in busy weekends. Ate here twice & would go back again.
A very dissapointed customer!!!!. We had a terrible time in this establishment, we requested a window seat 2 weeks ahead of time. First of all we didn’t get our window seat, the real thing is we requested NO MSG !!!!!! Well they served somthing with MSG as my daughter went into sever pain on our way home. By the time we returned home she was rolling on the floor in PAIN, we thought we would have to take her to the hospital.I will never return to this restaurant !!!! A very disapointed customer!!!!!!!!!
We chose Local Lounge and Grill based on it’s location and awesome view from the restaurant. From the reviews we figured the food would be okay too. The view turned out to be stunning, making for a peaceful dining experience. However the good was so much better then anticipated! We had a starter, mains, and dessert and each course wowed us with it’s deliciousness and well thought out taste combos! The wine list was also wonderful as it featured many of the wineries in the Okanagan area and listed how far they were from the restaurant. Everything about out dining experience made it a memorable time! Can’t wait to visit Summerland again and eat at this local gem!
This is great place on the lake. The food was very good both times I went. The chicken bacon club was very tasty. I also had two appies the second time and both could have been a meal. Especially the braised beef Wellington. They also have a good craft beer selection.
Horrible service and and too expensive. The portions are small and Over priced. Upon walking intl the resturaunt I was not greeted by anyone for 10mins so I went into the kitchen to ask for a table. After 30 mins our burgers came. Poutine was just 4 quarters of burnt potatoe and brown water for gravy topped with 4 chunks of dry meat and a sliver of cheese. Whhen I went to pay she asked me how it was. I told her about the poutine and her response basically was too bad so sad. It also added insult by pouringpouring a glass of water for me and my friend with floaties in our glass twice! Too expensive for below average service and food. Dont go.
Good Food, Terrible Service. As we’ve have decent times with this restaurant in the past, we assumed they’d be a good choice for brunch. Although their food is very pricy, it is often quality and good, as long as you’re willing to wait over 1 1/2 hours for a simple lunch dish. Having cancelled reservations to go here, they have turned away my service permanently with lack of service and seemingly unintelligent management. Do note if you do eat here, bring your own umbrella if you wish to sit outside. The sun is very strong but they won’t bother with helping you out.
