Have eaten at Chasters many times (I’m a Coast resident) and have never been even remotely disappointed. Mushroom soup, as noted elsewhere, is superb and the lamb is quite simply the best I’ve ever had…anywhere. Service is attentive and not the least bit ‘fancy-restaurant-intimidating’, the room is very elegant and the view – get there before the sun goes down! – is breath-taking. OK, prices are a bit high for The Coast, more comparable to Vancouver – given quality of full dining experience, however, worth every penny.C’mon Coasters – get out of your jeans and gumboots, get spiffed up a bit and have a superb dining experience right here in your own neighbourhood. Best place on The Coast for that ‘special occasion’ and for that evening when you just want to give yourself a calm, restful and ultimately satisfying, dining treat.
Absolutely fantastic. A bit disappointed that due to chef issues (he had twins!) there was a set menu. I would have loved to have seen their full menu. Even still everything we tasted was delicious. Perhaps the best cream of mushroom soup I’ve ever had. I am hard to impress when it comes to service but they did it. Their level of commitment was superb. Turns out that the chef, server and host were a family who owns the operation. It shows. Eager to return
