Just right. I was hoping for a more affordable coffee joint, but it seems like many newer places are starting to charge like Starbucks. My family regularly walks through the neighbourhood to Beach Grove Cafe and we buy a drink and a little treat. Nothing beats a warm drink on the dike on a cold day! The room inside is tricky to get around because the cafe itself is capped by size. It can be hard if you’re a mom having a playdate in the park next door and you’re nipping in to get a drink and some cookies with a stroller. Though you can get in and out with a stroller when it’s slow, you become a menace with even the smallest line. My friends and I have started to take turns going in, which makes it easier, but you don’t get to enjoy the relaxed cafe that way. It also means that until my children are walking, I can’t browse the the shelves of trinkets. There seems to be some really nice items. Hopefully soon I can take a better look.I often see other mothers/families and walkers having a break. It’s a perfect location and we’ve quite enjoyed it.
