Went there with my boyfriend and his family. The resturant itself is pretty and cozy. Our waiter was awful.. Cosmo came no booze second one was slightly better. The food was good we’ve dined at a lot of fine dining establishments this wouldn’t make my list to go back.Thank goodness the company was good!
Expecting gratuity. After we (3 couples) dropped almost $ 500 for our dinners – our mussels were delicious, the penne was alright, my seafood Provenal had overcooked prawns, scallops and 1/2lobster tail. 3 others had steaks ordered medium which were rare but the ossobuko dish was very good. The service was clumsy . After one person settled the bill, we had a lecture regarding gratuity and such!!! One person then paid a $60 tip to get out of that odd situation! Does everybody know that tipping is optional ???? I believe you have to earn that !!Very mediocre attitude of the owner who did the lecture after our dinner!!Happened on Wednesday, June 11/2014 with reservation at 6:45 pm.
Outstanding!!!!. I’ve been coming to Illuminate with my family, pretty much since it replaced Rio’s that used to be at that location.The food at Illuminate is FANTASTIC. I have always had consistantly amazing food. From the Gnocchi custom made with the Chorizo Sausage sauce, The veal tenderloin or even the rack of Lamb… The food has always been exactly what I ask for and consistantly great quality, Ive also been here many times with the company my partner works for, for his christmas parties, and no matter how many people are at our table, the food is always out at the same time and with the same amazing quality.Trust me, Im Italian 😉
So-so. Defineitley not the best Italian resuraunt around. I’ve never had parmasean cheese offered that was not freshly shredded. The waitress spooned out some tasteless powdered stuff that had no flavor. My steak was overdone and very chewy. The pasta that my daughter had was overdone and mushy. On the bright side the bocenccini wrapped in procudo was decent.
Great Evening. We wanted to write to say that we had a great evening (again) at your restaurant last week. The food, as always, was excellent and the service was timely and professional. We look forward to our next evening at your restaurant.
Awesome Dinner. We had a family dinner at Illuminate recently and the food was fantastic, service was first rate. I have been to this restaurant many times and always enjoy chef Roland’s gourmet dishes but last night was stellar. Big thanks as well to Kim, our waitress.
Amazing Risotto, great appetizer , but food priced about 6-8 dollars too much!!!
